Really Simple SSL is the most accurately named plugin imaginable. I use this on all of my WordPress installs. It’s a very simple way to ensure that you are guiding website visitors to SSL enabled pages. For anyone who is running any sort of shop, even one where you give things away for free, in many countries you’ll need SSL for your connections so that you are PCI compliant.

Not only does this plugin work exactly like you would hope, but it’s very lightweight and very quiet. I’ve run it for a month on a site I manage and I know this because this is the first time the plugin has tried to gain my attention. It did so with a politely worded, unobtrusive message that I can choose to ignore if I want.

I’m a big fan of those! Too many plugins dominate your dashboard with spamvertisements and upgrades. Not this one though!

This plugin does it’s job perfectly without assistance, keeps itself to itself and it is a mandatory part of all my WordPress installs. The free version is enough for me, it’ll probably be enough for most people, but if I ever do need more features then I’d still stick with this plugin because it’s not constantly trying to force an upgrade on me.

Respect to the developers. Nicely done.

How to allow necessary cookies to be loaded without separate consent?

Hi, I’m using Pitchprint web-to-print plugin, and the editor is not loaded unless the user accepts ALL cookies (necessary cookies is not enough). How to make so that the Pitchprint cookie is always loaded as necessary cookie? The cookie is “pitchprint_sessId”. Thanks!

Necessary category looses ‘always enabled’ after editing

Hi,

Not the first time that if we edit the necessary category with our text and rename slug to local language the category looses ‘Always enabled’ status and a toggle appears in Cookie Info box.

How can we revert this to Always enabled?

Necessary cookies not locked in enabled

Hey I am having issues with getting the Necessary Catagory to be locked on “Enabled” on the front end, so user’s can’t disable it. Both the original English Catagory with the slug “necessary” and the translated versions, which have their own slug, users can enable/disable the catagory on the front end.

Searching through other posts with similar problems, I found that the solution is to use the same slug on all the translations. For some reason I can’t do that. If I try to rename a slug in my danish version of the catagory to “necessary” it will just convert it back to its previous name upon updating. If i create a new catagory and give it the slug “necessary” it will rename it to “necessary-2” upon updating.

I noticed that in the original Necessary catagory, the option to default the catagory in the Enabled or Disabled position is not available, while it is in other catagories. I assume this is because it is supposed to be locked on Enabled by default?

Any help would be highly appriciated.

Where are the necessary and non-necessary tabs?

On sites where I installed this plugin before March 2021, there were two sub-items in the GDPR-cookie consent menu, that are not there anymore when I download the plugin on www.ads-software.com nowadays. The menu items are: ‘Necessary’ and ‘non-necessary’.

What I was using in this feature, was that scripts (like google tag manager) were only being loaded in the tag or just after the start of the tag, when a user consents to placing non-necessary cookies.

If this functionality still exists in the current version of the plugin, I would like to know where it moved to.

Also, what I found that the version number of the plugin was the same in both the pre-March version as well as the version available for download on www.ads-software.com now: Version 2.0.0. Though on the website (webtoffee.com) it says version 2.3.4 is the latest. What’s going on there?

reCAPTCHA always loaded

Even if reCAPTCHA is not needed as there is Caldera Form and no Caldera Form with a reCAPTCHA field (from this plugin), the script is still loaded.
This can cause issues, hence it would be nice if this plugin only tries to load and initialize reCAPTCHA when it is actually needed.

Hi WebToffee, I tried to translate the texts necessary and non-necessary using Polylang Plugin, but i noticed this strings is not yet presents to translate. I check the code and i believe the error is on file /wp-content/plugins/cookie-law-info/public/views/cookie-law-info_popup_content.php in line 90.

Block Necessary Cookies from loading

Hi I need to block all cookies from being loaded, not just the cookies with personal data. How do I go about doing this with your plugin? There doesn’t seem to be an option for it.
