I was unfortunately hacked recently and may have to transfer everything to a clean install of wordpress if it cant be fixed.

If that happens, what is the best way to export all data (Matches/players/stats etc) as well as all the modifications to the config pages.

Basically everything possible, to a new install.

I am helping to re-design a live current site. The owners are wanting a completely different look, so this entails me essentially starting from scratch. They want to change their domain name, also. How do I undergo intense edits like these without messing up the current state of the live site? I don’t want to publish all of my edits until the new site is essentially complete.

Hello!! I have a multisite with version 6.2 of The Events Calendar. The plugin works correctly, but when I go to create a new site on the network it does not do so correctly. When I deactivate the plugin, the create site function works fine. In the error.log I get this:

It seems like it’s some kind of error when creating the plugin tables. Could you help me? Does this sound familiar to you from other times that could have happened?

Making a website page link to another site

I am setting up a new website and don’t know if what I want to do is possible. I have a separate blog through blogger and instead of having a hyperlink within a page is it possible to make the page tab its own hyperlink.

Example:
Home Page
About Us
Contact Us
Blog Name – when they hit this page tab – instead of it going to a subpage within the website it would go directly to the blogspot.com site. Can the actual page be the link?

I hope that my question is making sense. Want to make a linkable page without them having to hit a link within the page.

creating a new web site

I have a self hosted site that I maintain with WP. The site was custome created in 2011 and is way, way out of date now and most of the latest plugins are glitchy and some do not work at all. I want to create a new site using a WP Theme which I assume will allow me to use all of the functions and plugins that I need. Can I use WP to create the new site without it being published and when I am satisfied with it,delete my old site and publish my new site (same domain and all) and not have it interfere with my old site until I am ready. Don’t know if I am asking this properly or in the right place but if someone could direct me to a help manual that addresses this I would be grateful.

I’m pretty new to wordpress and have an existing site. I want to create a new, separate site. From https://wordpress.com/support/create-a-blog/#adding-a-new-site-or-blog-to-an-existing-account I see I can simply click “add new site”.

BUT that doesn’t show up on the bottom of the menu. Does anyone know why? Or how I can get the “Add new site” to show up in my menu.

Hi everyone!
My work needs a new website. Completely replace the one we have feels like the easiest solution at this point. We have a paid/pro plan and plugin access. I created a different account and started building a new site on there. However, because it’s not paid it looks like i don’t have access to some features. Is there a way to build a new site, through the current business account and the switch the URL to make the newly designed site live once it’s done?
If yes, how and what are my next steps. Video, forum links work as well.
