NextGen gallery insert gallery function appears to be broken.
I am inserting galleries into a WYSIWYG editor that is set up using advanced custom fields. The WYSIWIG editor field shows up for my ‘game’ post type and I use NGG to insert game screenshots gallery into the WYSIWIG field.
However, since possibly the last update or a previous update, whenever I edit the game or the gallery and re-insert it seems to completely break the displaying of images. Instead on the front end, all I see is:
“NextGen Gallery
Edit
Delete”
When viewing the HTML code for the WYSIWIG field it does not look right either.
<div class="mceItem mceNonEditable nggPlaceholder"
id="1645785656930"
data-shortcode="ngg src="galleries" ids="411" display="basic_thumbnail" images_per_page="16""
data-mce-resize="false"
data-mce-placeholder="1"
contenteditable="false">

NextGEN Gallery

Edit

Delete

There is a non-breaking space being added and HTML code instead of just gallery shortcode which I believe is supposed to be there.
I have tried deleting and re-inserting galleries. I have also tried to roll back to previous NGG versions but they all result in the same broken galleries.
Oddly though, galleries inserted into actual posts appear to be unaffected.
Can you please advise a fix for this or release and update to fix it as a matter of urgency? I was considering buying NGG Pro, but if the plugin is going to break with almost every update then I obviously will not be inclined to actually pay for it.
Thanks.
I’m trying to migrate a site currently using Nextgen Gallery and would like to replicate a similar setup using your plugin. But I don’t know if it’s technically possible.
Currently, when creating a new gallery, it automatically generates and publishes a new page that links the gallery to that newly created page.
Then when inserting the gallery into a post, the template shows only a strip with a limited number of thumbnails and counts and displays the total number of images. Clicking on any of those thumbnails opens the previously created gallery page, which contains the full gallery with all the thumbnails, where the user can interact with each of them through Lightbox.
I would like to know if that is possible even with custom coding. It doesn’t matter if one of the premium licenses is required to achieve it.
I understand that maybe one template would be needed to embed the gallery in the posts and a different template for the individual gallery page.
That is to say that it would be something similar to the “single thumbnail gallery” but that shows a strip of thumbnails in the publications instead of only one, but that clicking on any of the small images and opening each gallery’s individual page shows all the thumbnails that the gallery contains.
Summarizing:
? When creating a new gallery, automatically create and publish a new page linked to it.
? When inserting a gallery into a post:
?Display gallery title.
?Show only a predefined amount of thumbs.
?Count and display the total number of images the gallery contains.
?Display an “open gallery” button.
? Clicking on any thumb or the button, opens the gallery page containing all the thumbnails.
The following image illustrates what a currently inserted gallery looks like:
Well, I hope you can understand the description
Thank you in advance.
This I know because I deactivated every single plug-in on my WP installation, the only plug in active was Next Gen Gallery.
When it is active Zapier.com, ifttt.com can not logged in.
When I turn off and deactivates Next Gen Gallery then suddenly it starts working and Zapier.com, ifttt.com is able to log in.
This I repeated to be sure several times turning Next Gen Gallery off and on.
My Next Gen Gallery Version 3.8.0
Can someone tell me if NextGen Gallery has:
— a front end image uploader, or
— a Gravity Forms integration, or
— a Zapier integration, or
— some other integration which will use images after they are added to a folder or file
Thanks for your help,

Issue: From successful login to my WordPress Admin area for this website, upon clicking Next Gen Gallery, the page/browser appear to be searching for a page (“automatically” on it own) and the entire WP admin side of the site locks: I cannot perform any functions or go to other the parts of the admin part of the site such as Pages, Plugins, etc. Further, I cannot log out. Front end seems unaffected I need and will appreciate some help here. Thank you
As well.. not sure why, but for some our clients’ websites the indexation and sitemap settings were returned to default. Not sure 100% about this, but could be an issue with updates from older to the latest version 7. I didn’t notice exactelly when it happened, but after noticing to one client and after that reviewing other client websites, it was changed to a default setting some other clients as well, but not for all.
At this stage version 7 not working properly with 3rd party plugin Next Gen Gallery.
As this was quite a big jump to the new version 7, hope that developers will fix the issues soon.
