Nextgen Random Artworks Widget Not working

I have a nextgen Random Artworks widget on my sidebar. It used to work but now it shows the same artworks and doesn’t randomize from my nextgen galleries. I have settings as follows:
show: 6 thumbnails
random button selected
Enable IE8 Web Slices selected
Width x Height: 160 x 160
select: All galleries

I tried turning off IE8 Web Slices but that didn’t work.
Hope someone out their can help solve this. Thanks

Caching problem

I’m using the NextGen widget to display thumbnails on my Home page. I’ve created a template override which works (wp-content/ngg/photocrati-widget/templates/display_gallery.php), but making changes to this template beyond the initial one (adding a simple class) is proving impossible.

The template seems to be getting cached, but no matter what I do I cannot clear this cache! I’ve cleared the image cache, I’ve made changes to the gallery and re-saved. I’ve cleared my browser’s cache. I’ve deleted all transients. Nothing works!!! Even after deleting the template override and then adding it back, it persists. Please help!

Widget Image is not visible in sidebar

Hello:
I am using a very slightly modified TwentyThirteeen theme.

When using The NextGen Widget to show a static image in the sidebar, the image does not appear. Instead, a very, very small box below the title of the widget is shown. When the selector arrow is hovered over the small square a red circle with a diagonal line inside appears with a textbox showing the correct name of the image. Clicking on the small square, the image opens in a separate window.

I would like to have the static image appear in the widget by default, as per the NextGen Widget instruction videos.

My current settings when using NextGen widget:

Manage with Live Preview
Widgets
Secondary Widget Area
Add a Widget – NextGen widget
Show: 1
Recently Added – On
Enable EI8 webslices – On
Width x Height: 100 x 75
Select: “Only which are listed”
Gallery ID: 44

Custom Sidebars not appearing on pages

Hi, I have installed custom sidebars in our child theme of twenty twelve website template. I can create new sidebars and when I am editing a page it shows the different sidebars I can chose. The problem is it is not showing on the web page. I am using a Nextgen Gallery widget in the new sidebar. When I click on the web page I get an error ‘we cannot display this gallery’. I know the gallery is ok as I can put it into a web page and it displays correctly. I have put the “wp_head();” in the header.php file before the closing head. I have deleted the custom sidebars widget and reinstalled same but it hasn’t made any difference.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have basic knowledge of coding.

Hello, I am using nextGEN widget on secondary sidebar of the site I am building, as a novice,(teremok.fr) As I may have short or long pages of content, I am wondering if there is a hack to have a variable number of images displayed depending of the length of the page…
I guess it’s a hard one, but why not?

NextGen Widget showing 6 pics instead of defined 9

I’m on WP 3.9.2 and NGG 2.0.66.17.

I have the NextGen Widget on a homepage, and have it set to show 9 images, but it is instead showing a random number, usually 6, sometimes 8, when set to “random” instead of “recently added”. If I change it to recently added, it always shows 9 as expected. I also have it set to only pull from galleries 16,17,18,19,20 all of which have plenty of images to pull from.

NextGEN widget thumbnails very unsharp

I don’t know how NG processes thumbs for display using the NextGEN Widget but it looks like they are resized more than once as the result is very unsharp.
I have set the default thumb size for galleries in NextGEN itself at 130×90, single pic at 250×100.
The widget thumbs are set to 200×150.

Having tried another similar widget whilst this one has its troubles I notice that the thumbnail is beautifully crisp. However the full size image will not display the title so I prefer the NextGEN widget which does.

There are quite a few references to blurry thumbs on the forum but very little in the way of solutions that don’t involve php hacks.

Is there any way of setting sizes so that they are crisp?
is there anything you could do to address the issue if not?
