We’ve had over 35 emails back and forth to resolve what I’d think would be a simple issue. I’ve sent multiple screenshots of 1) the app icon CANNOT be changed 2) your CTA tool top says %ICON% which looks defunct 3) the tool tip doesn’t even show up. 4) you’re charging $99 a year for a defunct tooltip that can be made better and actually work for free.
support is a nightmare. They keep saying it’s fine it works despite sending screenshots. Then they say well it works on chrome browser for android. But not for safari? Not for any other browser you advertise? Not for any other device? Someone please give me a better recommendation. I’ll be filing a chargeback since they refuse a refund.
]]>It’s one of the main reasons I won’t work with WordPress any more and advise my clients to use some more modern CMS.
]]>Next stop, I’ll be writing ThemeFusion, the #1 WordPress theme, and supplier whom I 100% unconditionally trust. They, by contrast, provide impeccable support – prompt and reliable. They need to know the nightmare The Events Calendar Pro is, as many here attest. ThemeFusion must remove The Events Calendar as a plug-in they integrate and thereby endorse!
]]>Yoast came with wordpress install. After I got my website up and running, uploaded the sitemap to google, it was waiting for months for google to index my site.
I got 32 errors and 70 noindex. That’s strange I thought, I have everything set to be indexed on yoast. So I asked google to crawl my site again. And waited. But still the results were the same.
Looking in the source code, it shows that the Yoast plugin, somehow puts a noindex in regions and listings of my page.
If I switch yoast off, the noindex disapears. I did contact support and they asked me to clone the site, switch off all plugins and change the theme. But still Yoast keeps putting a noindex in. Have not heared back from them yet.
Yoast is heavily advertising as being the best SEO plugin on wordpress. But I would not touch it. I switched it off and will deinstall it.
]]>Howeber the region still does have a <meta name=”robots” content=”noindex, nofollow”>
I also checked the advance settings on the individual page which says index yes (current default for regions) See here.
The noindex is Added by the yoast plugin.
When I switch your plugin off. Then the noindex disappears.
I cannot understand why yoast plugin keeps adding the noindex, when all is set to index…. I was considering to buy the premium product, but this looks like a complete mess. Please clarify.
Thank you, Inge
]]>There’s no way to push a product sync. I’ve checked the ‘sync with square’ boxes in the product listings, checked my Square dashboard and there’s nothing. Support tells me to contact Woo “for more insight”. That’s fair, Woo wrote the plugin/extension. There’s nothing in the Woo Payments tab under Integrations, and the Square tab doesn’t offer the sync option.
For some reason, Square requires you to manage YOUR inventory on THEIR site. Even if you have selected the option to not track inventory, you must still list something (I recommend 1,000,000 so you can fill it out and forget about it) as long as it’s blank or non-zero.
Secondly, even if you pick Woo as the inventory authority, according to support, you still have to maintain inventory counts in square. (Hence the recommendation for 1,000,000 of everything.)
Stripe was a breeze to install, configure and use for woo. Square could take a few lessons here. Actually, all the lessons. Deleted plugin and closed square account.
Whoever commented that this plugin should be deleted wasn’t joking.
]]>So scary! I was lucky because there was another link on the site where I could log in (without the Captcha).
I used the free version. Be very careful or you could get locked out of your site.
]]>I all for sudden had products and categories in all languages, which defies the purpose of this plugin Because I don t get more prodducts, just because i add a language!
The core concept of WPML fails to keep the product basis slim. I had the same product now 9 different set ups (9languages times 200 products!)
and they all sounnd the same. Just this fact alone led me to a time consuming relaunch and now think of moving my whole ecosystem to a more sustainable Ecommerce suite like prestashop or likewise
