So now all the information is on the server, but is not properly linked. I know the original database name of this particular subsite, but I don’t know how to link the existing data to a newly created MySQL database. I figure there has to be a way, since the data is all there. The posts are on the site, with correct dates, etc. and the images are on the server in the correct locations. The images show up beautifully if I type in the actual location relative to the main site, but they do now show up when I use the domain name of the subsite.
Please help!
]]>Welcome to the famous five minute WordPress installation process! You may want to browse the ReadMe documentation at your leisure. Otherwise, just fill in the information below and you’ll be on your way to using the most extendable and powerful personal publishing platform in the world.”
Reading the forum suggests my database file is corrupt. I don’t have a back up of this. also, I don’t have any backup of the text that was on the site. This is most important to me.
TWO Questions:
1.Do I go ahead and fill in the information this page requests – site title and my email – and press the “install WordPress” button. I guess this wipes out everything I had before.
2. If I do have to recreate the site, is there any way I can get the text from the original pages (I have tried FTPing the data but can’t find the text) before wiping it all?
Thanks for your help, in advance!

I have tried excluding those specific folders in the Filesystem Excludes, but I don’t seem to get the correct root. I’ve tried numerous variations, but every time I try a backup it still tries to backup the folders I want to exclude.
Here are all the variations I tried out:
