I cannot access the dashboard or even the login to attempt to remedy this. I updated Word Press to the latest version a couple of days ago, after seeing a similar message superimposed over the top of the dashboard. The comments on my website have been inundated with spam for the past couple of weeks, and no amount of attempting to remove it has helped. I started seeing this error message after taking Bulk Action marking comments as Spam – it would pop up, but re-typing in the admin url would make it go away. This was still the case for about 24 hours after the update. Now, re-typing the URL simply results in that message popping up, with no access to the dashboard. I’ve cleared the cache and cookies. I admit that I am not particularly tech-savvy, so please pardon me if there is something obvious that I am missing.
]]>When I select Dashboard there is a 404 Apache error: (In spanish…srry):
“?Objeto no localizado!
Error 404”
For instance, with one of the sites, it means that Apache server can not reach the subdirectories below /wordpress for each site on the network, as confirmed by the Apache log: “GET /wordpress/nenasaludamealdiego/wp-admin/ HTTP/1.1” 404 1289 “https://www.xxxxxx.com/wordpress/wp-admin/my-sites.php”, as far as I know…
Supposedly, below the wordpress subdirectory it should be a subdirectory “nenasaludamealdiego” with others below, containing all the required files for wp, such as wp-admin for the site. But… THERE IS NOTHING!!!, no subdirectory nor files for the content or WordPress.
Using WordPress 4.9.2 spanish, linux with root access and medium IT skills.
When googling I’ve found a few users with the same problem but no answer, clue or solution, or I’ve been not clever enough to find it…I dare say there is a bug, limit on the product or not well documented issue.
Any help will be appeciated.
]]>I can no longer access my website or dashboard to even attempt a fix…any recommendations?
Thanks
]]>Today I log in and get the bar across the top, with the WP logo, gives me the drop down menu when I hover over it. The name of my site: A Spiritual Paradigm, with no drop down menu, hover over my “Howdy my user name” link and see my name, etc, click that and nothing happens. Clicking the name of my site reloads the page to the front page of my site. NO site Admin.
Read the support for other similar issues, nothing has worked. Renaming plugins, no go. Did a registration as a user, have access to the dashboard.
Next step: PHPAdmin panel for admin settings
Will restore an earlier back up of my site and see if that works. But, curious as to what is happening. Could I have been hacked? Have received several mssgs from my security software of hack attempts on one of my new contributors. Changed her id. NO more security warnings. But this morning, no access to the dashboard.
Suggestions?
]]>I know I can access through cpanel, but I’ve done that so much when it’s been down and now Ii am concerned that with my more recent issues I may have messed things up tinkering around in there.
The homepage is a blank screen–no error message, no spinning refresh circle. I have an archive page at my blog and that gave a brief error message in small or normal sized font: [an error occurred while processing this directive]
But the internal post pages show an HTTP 404 error, well the one I looked at.
My previous problems were never resolved, so maybe something is compounding? I’d describe them, but since I can’t access those threads I can’t do that either. The basic problem was that I have been unable to upgrade plugins or WP versions for months. This seemed to be fixed at one point, but then started up again. WP-config.php may be messed up. I was tinkering with it–I kept multiple versions as I made changes.
Maybe it’s time I get professional help?
I have two WordPress websites with which I am having problems.
1. Siyadingana Consulting
When I Google search the site, I get the following response
>>Warning: require_once(/usr/www/users/siyadetrkc/wp-load.php)…
Initially I was able to login and make changes to the site content-until I installed a couple of mobile plugins and themes to find the correct display for both desktops and mobiles.
-I also manually deleted some of the content; themes and plugins which I didn’t find suitable. Now I can no longer login.
-I had posted a photograph for which I have no back up and would not like to lose.
Is there some way to retrieve the site?
2. Siyadingana Training
After downloading WordPress to this domain, I had the default “Hello World” page. I tried to edit the page and then it went blank and I’ve been unable to login again.
Could I start afresh downloading WordPress without any dire consequences or is there some other way to rescue the situation?
Please help
