I’m currently in the process of setting up an image archive on one of my WordPress Pages. I migrated the galleries from an old Website and just discovered the Album feature along with the Album-in-Album feature.
However I noticed the following error:
When accessing an Album with Umlauts from the main Album, everything works fine. However when I then try to access a Gallery with Umlauts in said album, I get to a screen stating “No images found”.
The slug for the Album is set correctly with “ue” instead of “ü”, but the title lists the “ü”. The link it navigates to when clicking on the gallery does apparently not contain the slug, but instead the display name. When renaming the Album to also contain the “ue”, the reference works.
Is it possible to change this behaviour and use the Slug instead of the Display Name? Because the slug automatically transforms Umlauts to the safe versions.
As the Website is currently only accessible for members, I would have to create a new website to showcase this. However you should be able to reproduce this.
NGG is freshly installed and updated to the newest version. The Galleries are pre-existing and I moved them over by exporting the NGG-Database-Tables from the old page and importing them in the new Database. The Album I’ve created from Scratch.

Then it worked. Hope it will help someone!

]]>I like your plugin’s features – and really want to be able to use it for my website.
I am on WP 4.4.2, and I just down-loaded the latest version of your plugin from my website’s plugin dashboard directly (2.1.23), installed it, activated it, and starting using it.
Everything worked fine initially. I created 3 albums. The albums have 2, 7 and 1 galleries respectively.. I set up the shortcode on my photos gallery page to display albums, and included all 3. That all works fine. The page shows all the 10 galleries that were listed inside of the 3 albums.
But now when I click on the individual gallery thumbnail, it goes to the correct url, but says there are no images.
What is interesting, is that those gallery pages were displaying properly about an hour ago. The only thing I have done since then, is to continue to add images to the galleries, and create a couple new galleries.
So obviously, I have maybe changed a setting to make the individual gallery pages to not display?.
For example.. One Album is called CUBS. It has 2 galleries: 2014 Cuboree (with 3 photos) & 2014 Cubs General (with 2 photos)
The page I added the shortcode to has the url of photo-gallery/. (Note: I changed the Permalink slug under ‘other options/misc’ from nggallery to gallery). So for the above example, the CUBS albums’ page is located at: photo-gallery/gallery/cubs (and this displays all the gallery thumbnails within this album correctly), and one of it’s gallery pages is at: /photo-gallery/gallery/2014-cubs-general – but this page won’t display the individual images that are inside of this gallery anymore. – it says there are no images.
I can see the folder that contains those images here: wp-content\gallery\2014-cubs-general, so I know the images are actually there.
I am currently on localhost, and didn’t want to purchase hosting and upload until I can get the website further along if possible.
Can you help me with some ideas of Next Gen Gallery settings that I might have changed to cause this disconnect with the gallery pages not displaying?
Thanks,
SunnyOz

]]>– When I create a new gallery and I try to link it to an album, the thumbail of the gallery shows in my album page, but when I click on it, I have the following message “No images were found”.
– I added photos to galleries and galleries to albums, just as I did before last update of NextGen Galery
– The gallery is working fine, for example I can create an article and if I include the gallery with the following code : the gallery shows with no pb.
– There are 7 galleries in the album and I’m using the free version of nextgen gallery 2.1.2
– Only 2 galleries have an issue, the older one in the same album are all ok and shows perfectly
– here are the settings of my server (sorry for the french, but all of this is technical and can be understood easily I guess, if needed, I can translate) :

1694 Images
33 Galleries

The short code I use :
[album id=10 template=compact]
The extensions I use are :
– jQuery Archive List Widget
– Twenty Eleven Theme Extensions
– WP-Obfuscator (This extension obfuscate your wp-config.php file to make it unreadable by a hacker. Please, save your wp-config.php file before to obfuscate it.) I tried to desactivate it, but it changed nothing.
– WPtouch Mobile Plugin
What I tried with no success:
– I changed the PhP version (4, 5.4, 5.5)
– I tried to create a new album and put the defective galleries into it
– I tried to deactivate Wp-Obfuscator plugin
I hope I have provided all the information needed to understand and solve the issue.

]]>My galleries suddenly no longer diplay. Instead I get: “no images were found.” Also, when I go to Manage my galleries, none of them are listed. But each gallery still does indeed exist in my /wpcontent/gallery folder.
Also, when I try to place a new gallery in a post, I get a screen-full of repeated error message that say:

]]>I’ve been trawling for a fix but to no avail as yet.
This is the latest glitch, amongst a host of problems I have been experiencing in my latest attempt to get my site overhauled and updated
My main objective was to try and find a way to be able to upload images and create new galleries on static page on my site, using my iphone. I dont run a blog on the site and did not want to upload photos to a blog post, but to a portfolio page on my site. Each time I’m on a new project, I wanted to be able to take photos with the phone and upload them on a daily basis to galleries, created from my phone, on to a specific page on my site.
I eventually happened upon TinyDesk, an iphone app that looked like it might let me do this. However, I could not get it to access the content on my site due to XML-RPC settings (which are supposedly enabled by default with WP4.1).
In my attempts to get TinyDesk working, I disabled a couple of plugins on my site and upgraded NextGen gallery to the latest version.
So, now, my latest grievance is that my galleries are not being linked to!
Can anyone help me fix this?
And maybe what might be going wrong with TinyDesk as this app is supposed to work well with NextGen gallery plugin? I have tried raising separate support posts regarding this elsewhere but no feedback so far!
