Backup not showing in Google Drive

My backups for my site are completed, and I see them locally, but I do not see them in my Google Drive folder. When I click the rescan remote storage, it completes, but my Google Drive folder still shows that it is empty. I have reset my Google account authentication, but the results are the same.

Not backing up every 2 hours like in the settings

Hi, I have been using the free version for a while now. Today, while considering an upgrade, I noticed that the plugin doesn’t backup every 2 hours like I’ve set. Instead, it backs up once a day. I’m quite confused since from my understanding this isn’t a premium feature. I’m not sure if I’ve done anything wrong, but it doesn’t seem that complicated. Can someone please advise? Thanks.

For about 3 WEEKS now I have had nothing but difficulty setting-up a WordPress site. I have activated and deactivated new blogs and stores at least 12 times now and still I have gotten nowhere. I have gone through the deactivating plugins and using default theme processess already. Every site I’ve tried to set up has different error messages. I get the white screen of death, I get no SSL certificate error messages (even though my host (Yahoo) has one on my site and the URL clearly says https), I get no temporary file found, I get file permissions errors, I get failed to update error messages when trying to write a post (won’t allow me), no access to phpmyadmin, and the list goes on. I have done a lot of research before coming to you. Everything I read to do I did (changes to config file, functions file, adding temp folders, etc.). I’ve made backups then found no way to use it because of the file extension (even though that’s what the recommended plugin company gave me). I am sooo stressed out. My hosting provider says ask you guys, you guys say ask them, wp.org and wp.com point at eachother. Still no help. I’ve deleted and recreated sites and databases a bunch of times. Still nothing. I’ve tried almost every default theme and every store theme. I’m not a stupid person – until WordPress I guess. Like I said I did a lot of reading and researching before I contacted you. I’m not trying to waste your time. I just REALLY want my site up and running. PLEASE and THANK YOU!!!

Hangs up in Middle of Back Up

This might take a bit to explain.

I use updraft plus on all three of my wordpress blogs (2 non password protected, and 1 that is – which is: https://www.sylumclan.com/SylumManor/wikiblog/ but its password protected) I’ve never had problems with scheduled or manual backups for any of the blogs until recently.

As of end of August (my last successful back up was Aug 7th) I couldn’t get updraft to work. I figured it was a new update so just let it go until another update and still didn’t work. No matter what size limit I put on the zips it stalled half way through whether it was 50, 100 or even 400 – still stalled.

As it was a password protected site I knew it was having a hard time communicating to wordpress so I had 207 scheduled tasks not concluded – I worked with my hosting company and set up a cron job and which worked, and that particular problem is cleared.

Yet if I manual update with updraft it’s still stalling half way through. The logs do not show why it’s lagging or stalling it just shows the last thing it was doing. It gets to a point it will say 28 seconds to next segment, then go up to almost past 100, then come back down to 8, then keep rising until hours go by and it does nothing.

I’ve never had a problem like this in the two years I’ve been using Updraft on this blog (despite it being password protected). This is a heavy information blog and I need it backed up.

What else do I need to do?

Not Backing Up to Dropbox

This has been occuring for last three days.
Creates Archive.
Compresses to TarGz.
Checks database.
Does not upload to Dropbox.
Backup is in Uploads directory, as is Log file.

No Errors shown.
Success message after the backup in the ‘Logs’ screen, but no backup to Dropbox.
Log shows – “Log only 0 seconds”

Have re-authorized plugin to Dropbox.
Have run manually four times with same result.
Date/time correct, but runtime on ‘Jobs’ screen always reads “665 seconds”, yet actual runtime for manual backups I have just run varies – approx. 380 seconds to 1400 seconds.

Have viewed other posts describing same problem, yet mine is not “fixing itself”.
Have this plugin on two other sites (one on same server) and they are running fine and uploading to Dropbox.
Running WooCommerce on this site, but not others.

Suggestions?

Edit:
Fifth attempt finally uploaded to Dropbox but, though actual Runtime was 1750 seconds and Date/time is correct, Runtime stated on ‘Jobs’ screen still reads “665 seconds”.

Updraft Plus 1.9.5 will not backup since 23/4/14

Hello David,
I cannot get Updraft Plus backup to work. It was working fine before it mysteriously stopped working on 24th April. Now it is not working at all and I have tried to get it to see Google Drive.

I am running WordPress 3.9 and the twenty thirteen theme. Installed plugins are Akismet 3.0.0 – Captcha 3.9.9 – Limit Login Attempts 1.7.1 – Redirection 2.3.5 – Stop Spammer Registrations 5.9.3 UpdraftPlus 1.9.5 – Wordfence Security 5.0.6 WP-Form Assembly 1.1 and WP SlimStat 3.6.1

UpdraftPlus reports the following error messages:

Schedules a back up & then does NOTHING

Hey, not sure what I am not doing right. I uploaded the zip file via GoDaddy FTP like all other plug ins, activated it. Authenticated my Dropbox with it and when I click Back Up Now it schedules it for few sec/mins out but then just does NOTHING..
Is this b/c I haven’t upgraded to the paid version?
I have checked my dropbox and there is the directory made but no files and I have not received any emails.

Would love help on how to best back up my Godaddy hosted site.. Should I use Filezilla instead of this?

Backup Technology Plug-In

I installed the Backup Tech plugin for WordPress backup; I created my account as it instructed on the plugin’s site, but when I check my status there, it says I am not backing up any blogs, media etc. Have I missed a step? Or will it only indicate it’s completed a backup after the automatic backup is completed. A confused newbie.
