in free version, there is fewer feature option and few options in the setting. NOT user-friendly. Especially, while I go for upload an image form post option it shows a bad interface where folders are invisible.

I have tried to use this plugin, it is creating amp for both desktop and mobile. Destroyed my mobile menu to some extent. In the process of creating a plugin the developer has included so many options to integrate and different extensions made things worse.

Jack of all master of none – if you are ready to pay hefty amount then maybe its ok.

I used to swear by WordPress. I thought it was intuitive, but once I invested in my project, bought a Premium account and a domain, it got messy. They make signing up for all the necessary components very difficult, and therefore cancelling them is more difficult. It is NOT USER FRIENDLY. THEY ARE NOT HELPFUL IN RESOLVING CANCELLATION ISSUES. This is NOT the platform for project practice. I even had to create a brand new account to leave this review, with the same account info I have for my site. NOT INTUITIVE. NOT USER FRIENDLY. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Absolutely no support

I’ve used this plugin on two websites for a few years now and when they were a smaller operation, I got support via email only but relatively quickly, so I didn’t worry about it. But recently my site was hacked and it was because a security license was expired. I got no email or notification of this and have no idea how long its been like that. Someone got it and added an admin to my site, so it could be that they turned notifications off. Now I can’t get a ticket started with support because the link to do so goes to some bullshit forum with randoms answering the questions. I pay for Clean Talk. I want an expert in their software to fix this, not some internet forum stalker. I’m about to switch to a new plugin, which is disappointing because I really did like this service up until now. The other issue is that all of the articles they publish about how to fix issues is in website designer speak and not in layman’s terms at all. I have no idea what to do with all of the “WARNING” files that came up on my scan.
Here’s what they need:
1. Real time support for emergency issues
2. Better tracking of unusual logins that could attack the site and become admins
3. Solution that alerts somehow if a feature like email notifications is turned off.
4. Explain how to fix the issues that are found in a language that anyone can understand. Or better yet….have a FIX button that does the recommended fixes automatically and gives you the option to manually fix if you know what your’re doing.

Meh…Not User Friendly, Crappy Tech Support

While Envato’s Phlox looks nice and the demos look cool, it’s not super user-friendly and support is less than responsive. I never purchase a theme without giving it a run using the free version. I’m not web designer, but a small business person who has enough skills to be dangerous. I decided to give myself a total rebuild and started, as recommended by Phlox, from a fresh WordPress site. I also decided to upload one of the Envato demos that was particularly slick looking. Suffice to say, it’s been a disaster and a total waste of my time. Documentation on their site have broken links and while I don’t expect non-English speaking developers to use proper grammar, some of the documentation makes no sense. When I had a couple issues, I was told to fill out a ticket. Three days later, no response still. By comparison, my old theme (some of the tech support were in Indonesia and Philippines) would have answers for me within hours, not days and days.

Not user friendly for the amateur WordPresser, I can’t get any sidebars to work on only certain pages and other sidebars on another page.

Spending too much time using it and getting nowhere.

Easy to subscribe to. Virtually impossible to cancel subscription

I find it verging on unethical when a supplier makes it really easy to sign up for their service, but when you want to cancel, there is no functionality on their website to cancel your subscription. No problem. I’ll send an email to their billing support email. Only to get an email back informing you that this email address is not monitored and that you have to use one of their other contact methods. Still eager to resolve the issue without too much fuss (like with most other subscriptions for plug-ins on WordPress) you go to the chat line. Only to be informed that billing queries can only be handled by telephone. So even though you live in South Africa, you make an international phone call to cancel your membership. Once you’re on the line, you have to tell your story to at least three different people until you get transferred to the correct “cancellations” department (while those international phone minutes are ticking away.)
Eventually you speak to the right person and you are assured that your membership will be cancelled. Only – two months later – you get charged for the renewal of your membership. And the process repeats itself. You cannot email or resolve it via their chat “helpline.” So you are forced to make another international telephone call and you think that this company is sailing very close to the “too unethical to ever do business with again” border and you feel that you should warn other users about their practices.

Disappointing — follow up is worse than I had imagined

Making a little progress. However I have to say that if you are going to make a drag and drop plugin, then it should actually drag and not be confined to a single screen. It makes editing very tricky. Still not a huge fan.

Update… 9/14/2019

I’ve been using the same theme Dynamik Gemesis for every site. Now on a new import I can’t use Gutenberg editor moving forward as it collapses and I cannot see the block at all. WHAT IS GOING ON??? This is supposed to be an ADVANCEMENT and we (the people who bought into and trusted the WordPress folks) are getting set back EVERY STEP OF the way. HEEEEEELLLLPPP!!!

And I am fairly certain I won’t get a response to this update….

Days after launch, my new review is that Gutenberg is VERY CLUNKY! What is going on? How is this an improvement. My clients would not be able to handle this.

Now I have really been trying to use Gutenberg since the 5.0 update. All I can say is so far it is a disaster and it is setting me back time wise aka money.

ZERO stars. VERY Disappointed. Plus what about backend assesibility for visually impaired. Adding images a nightmare. Just so shocked that this interface was launched in such a beta state. AWFUL.

This is an add on to my comments below the asterisks which I posted awhile ago. That said, I want to keep on top of developments and an open mind. So I have given Gutenberg another try and I am giving additional comments.

As a web designer for 20 years I do have to say I like some of the blocks and concepts behind them with Gutenberg. However, the biggest reason I moved to the WordPress platform was that it offered my clients a reasonably easy to use and understand content management system.

Most of my non-designer, not-so-computer-savvy found the current/old visual editor much like an email or Word Document interface…. and they got it. Even though I’m starting to “get” the Gutenberg interface (and liking some of the features), this is absolutely not the response I am going to receive from clients who want to manage their own content. In fact I have been able to give clients tutorials on the current visual editor over the phone in less than 30 minutes. NO WAY this is going to be possible with the new Gutenburg interface. I cannot even imagine trying to teach my clients how to update their content using this over complicated, finicky interface.

WordPress is supposed to be a content management system first and formost. At least that is what all the promo for it stated when I first dived in (abandoning Dreamweaiver and Contribute) to satisfy my clients desire for easy and quick content management after their site was developed. Lets go back to easy content management for the common man as the goal please and leave designing to people who get it. It is the reason a lot of us designers bought into WordPress to begin with. You are totally defeating the purpose with Gutenberg.

Sorry I really want to like is so much. And for me I can navigate it foibles, but my clients are going to be very, very unhappy.

Had to hit the update button many times before it would take. This was very annoying.

However the most disappointing thing is the way it handled columns There needs to be an interface to set padding/margins, widths and also they should be responsive out of the box. It is just clunky to use. I hope that they fix this while still in beta.

Once I saw how it handled columns I bailed on the beta plugin. I spent years perfecting my WordPress CSS and design skills and have an arsenal of go-to coding that will need uncountable hours of rework with this system (that doesn’t work well). If you are going to reinvent the wheel it needs to be a step forward. Many busy designers would agree; we don’t have time to fuss with learning a new tool that barely works. I’ve got work to do.

I don’t like giving negative reviews. But because I love Caldera Forms so much, I am hoping this is rather considered as positive crit rather than a negative review.

While it is great that you offer a free translation plugin ( I was soooo excited), it is very confusing and not user friendly at all.

I do believe, if you used this plugin to rather bridge the gap between PolyLang or WPML or other translation plugins, it would be WAAAAY better.

As it stands, maintaining translations is time consuming. Now to create a translation on every form and field… No… does not work for me. Too tedious.

I landed up rebuilding my contact forms into the languages I need manually.

(I have large contact forms).

BUT—-Thank you for Caldra forms. The greatest form builder available.

Doesn’t provide an option to hide “Update PHP” notice

With the latest update Yoast SEO plugin added an update message to my dashboard and it can’t be hidden. If that is a notice of Yoast, it should be on Yoast settings page. But my dashboard is my work area. I do not have to see your JUNK every time I log in.
