Hi, we’re getting a fatal error from latest version of wp-activity-log when using our cloner plugin, please see below:

Not sure if this is related to the other reported sensor issue. We had to network disable the activity log to get our cloner plugin to work.

Site not cloning properly

Hi NS Cloner Support,

I cloned my sites but the site content and designs are not reflected fine. Even after cloned my sub site, I tried to switch the theme but the theme activation also not working fine.

Please anyone help me to resolve this issue.

NS Cloner not working after upgrade to PHP 8.0

We have a multisite on WPEngine and using NS Cloner for a long time. But we upgrade our multisite to PHP 8.0 and just find NS Cloner stop working.

The issue I notice is when I enter the URL for “Give the target site a URL” under the “Create New Site” section. It supposes to check if the URL is a duplicate one, but it is hanging and running forever. Please see this screenshot. If I click on the “Clone” button, it is running and never finished.

AJAX cloning is broken

On a localhost environment using WampServer, your latest updates will default to AJAX cloning and the cloning is totally broken. Set up some themes and plugins on windows localhost WampServer and see for yourself. And why you’re using anything but PHP to clone the site makes no sense, everything needed to clone properly is in the database and server files. The only thing that needs to be altered is the subsite URLs via settings. And your plugin can not even do that right in this environment.

Cloning is too fast and partial

I’m trying to clone sites with NS cloner plugin, version 4.1.5.3.

Most of the time cloning process takes several minutes and it clones the whole content of the site. But sometimes it takes just several seconds, and although it displays “Cloning successful” but site data is not copied. For example, there should be a lot of posts in wp_*_posts but there is only a “Hello world!” post.

This is happening when I try to clone the current site. Any idea how to fix that?

Can’t clone site if too many users

We use NS Cloner to clone sites within our multisite setup. I had imported 24,000 users and everything seemed fine until I tried to clone a site. It will not copy unless I turn off the Multisite User Sync plugin.

After I cloned a site, I tried to turn the plugin on and I got an error message: Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.

The developer at NS Cloner said: “that large of a number [of users] could well result in memory issues if the user syncing plugin is trying to perform some update on all of them. That would really be a question for the developers of that plugin.”

Has anyone had success with this plugin, cloning subsites of a multisite setup, and a large number (@ 24,000) of users? If so, what cloning plugin do you use?

I’m on the latest version of WP: 5.5.1

One site in network suddenly corrupt/missing

I have a network with 10 sites in it, and I am suddenly experiencing a strange problem with one of the sites. Unfortunately I just randomly noticed the issue so it’s hard to pinpoint when it started or what might have triggered it. I deleted two other sites from the network about a week ago and did not notice it then, so it’s possible they are related but I don’t know.

In my dropdown list of sites, the problem site has a space but the title is blank (see screenshot: https://imgur.com/a/yMZeXlc)

On My Sites, it is listed with its URL, but it has moved up to the top position even though it was originally down lower, and trying to access the dashboard takes me to my main site dashboard instead (see screenshot: https://imgur.com/a/vM4OxbX)

Trying to access the front end of the site gives me a database connection error.

When I click edit site, the http is missing from the URL (see screenshot: https://imgur.com/a/89cYsfU) but when I add it manually and try to save it, it will not save the changes and reverts back to just :// as pictured.

Does anyone know what might have caused this issue and how to fix it?

Incorrect File path

Hi I’m using NS Cloner Site Copier(https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/ns-cloner-site-copier/) to duplicate sites on a multi-network, AWS S3 and Cloudfront is also enabled.

I’m having an issue with the file path not being updated. Newly cloned/copied media files does appear in the media library however the media files are linking back to the original source/site-ID and are not being up loaded to the S3 bucket or are placed in the correct upload/site ID directory. Is there a solution available to solve this issue?

Hi, recently purchased the pro version of your plugin for use on a multi-site network that also uses the AWS S3 and Coudfront plugin by Delicious Brains (https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/amazon-s3-and-cloudfront/).

I’ve tested on a local environment without S3 enabled and cloned media files are copied to the correct upload/site-ID directory however on my live setup with AWS S3 and Coudfront plugin the media file path is linked back to the original source. Is there a way for the file path to be updated to reflect the correct site-id when using the AWS S3 and Coudfront plugin?

Has anyone had a similar issue using NS Cloner with AWS S3 and Cloudfront or any other CDN?
