I am inspecting the Open Graph script generated by AIO. In the line, I see the script .
How can I change this og:locale without needing to modify the site language or user language?

Is there a way to delete that line. I know I could change the repsective value in the WordPress Admin panel language setting to the needed ‘de-DE’ but I don’t want to change it here
Thanks for checking into my problem
Best, Tony
I have already read this Q&A (https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/meta-propertyoglocale-how-to-change/), but I’m still having an issue. Under Settings > General, I have the site language set as English (Canada), but the meta tag generated by SEO Framwork still says “meta property=”og:locale” content=”en_GB”. Why is that? Is there another way to make sure it says en_CA?
This is only a problem on the English version of our site. On the French version, it correctly says fr_CA.
Thank you!
en_US
.
I tried to use wpseo_locale
filter in order to force en_AU
but then I found that this is not a valid locale in Yoast’s valid locales for Facebook list ($fb_valid_fb_locales
), found in /frontend/class-opengraph.php
on 337 line.
Is there any possibility for en_AU
to be added in valid locales list as it is, in fact, a valid locale, regardless of what Facebook thinks?
My web page is configured as es_PE (Spanish Peru) but the Plugin is determined to define the label og: locale como es_ES (Spanish Spain) how can I solve this? Urges me since it is not the only page with this problem.
I have two problems when using this plugin, which is working great if it always does what it should do.
Problem 1:
At around 50% of the posts I publish I have to re-publish 2 or 3 times before the Facebook tags are updated. No real error message is shown, except for the default message that the tags are not submitted. Than I try again (and again) and then it works fine.
Problem 2:
Everytime I update an article I get the following error message:
Error: Facebook Open Graph Tags cache NOT updated/purged.
Facebook returned: Object at URL ‘https://www.myurl.com’ of type ‘article/’ is invalid because the given value ‘nl_nl/’ for property ‘og:locale:locale’ could not be parsed as type ‘enum’.
No matter what I try, I can’t get it fixed. Even disabling sending the og:locale parameter in settings does not help.
Please help!

I have installed JetPack and SEO ultimate, and using it as all the meta and og setting. Now, the facebook debugger detected my site have multiple values and not to recognize. I understand this is nice to have og on JetPack but shall be able to disable this.
Also, I have another problem about og:locale. It indicates all my pages of og:locale in only one language. It is a 3 languages supported site with polylang (1.8beta4). However, I have another site for my test without the SEO ultimate (I dont need the SEO on my test site) and the og:locale is switching correctly(polylang 1.7.12).
Finally, when I checking the codes, a little issue is found about remark tag. The site without SEO ultimate have the tag with /** Jetpack Open Graph Tags **/ but the one with SEO ultimate does NOT. I think a conflict over there.
I will try to figure it what plugin causing the problems above, but if someone is double checking will be great.
Many thanks!
