I encounter a fatal error on my website (WordPress 4.9.13) with all the recent versions of Yoast (> 14.8). Everything works fine on 14.7.
This message appears everytime I try to add a new post, custom post or page, and even when I want to update one :
Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Call to undefined method WP_Screen::is_block_editor() in C:\projects\le-pret-immobilier.com\web\app\plugins\wordpress-seo\admin\metabox\class-metabox.php:876 Stack trace: #0 C:\projects\le-pret-immobilier.com\web\wp\wp-includes\class-wp-hook.php(286): WPSEO_Metabox->enqueue('post-new.php') #1 C:\projects\le-pret-immobilier.com\web\wp\wp-includes\class-wp-hook.php(310): WP_Hook->apply_filters(NULL, Array) #2 C:\projects\le-pret-immobilier.com\web\wp\wp-includes\plugin.php(453): WP_Hook->do_action(Array) #3 C:\projects\le-pret-immobilier.com\web\wp\wp-admin\admin-header.php(97): do_action('admin_enqueue_s...', 'post-new.php') #4 C:\projects\le-pret-immobilier.com\web\wp\wp-admin\edit-form-advanced.php(483): require_once('C:\\projects\\le-...') #5 C:\projects\le-pret-immobilier.com\web\wp\wp-admin\post-new.php(76): include('C:\\projects\\le-...') #6 {main} thrown in C:\projects\le-pret-immobilier.com\web\app\plugins\wordpress-seo\admin\metabox\class-metabox.php on line 87
Is there a way to fix this error ? Ideally without updating WordPress to 5.5.
Thank you.
]]>We have a guitar website with a International Classical Guitar Festival. Our client want to store old websites on a archive, with the full operative WordPress, and make new changes for the next festival after this.
I don’t have any question, I only want your suggestions! How would you do this? Only with a folder inside the website? With a subdomain? With a plugin for this?
Thanks a lot!

Long story short, I’m in charge of updating a company website that has not been touched for nearly 4 years besides posting new posts. When I started here, I was told this will be a priority coming this year and that they cannot update it without losing all of the database (I didn’t try it yet, but when they click the auto-update, it gives a warning saying that all data in the database will be lost or something). When I recommended backing up the posts, updating, and just reimporting the posts, they said no, and that they’d rather forget about it and leave it as is if that’s the case.
The current version on the site is 3.9. I read if I manually update in increments it should be fine, but this is a serious project and a huge worry for the company.
My plan was to update for each new full version, so:
Manually upgrade to 4.0 > 4.1 > 4.2 > 4.3 > 4.4 > 4.5 > 4.6 > 4.7 > 4.8 and then try the auto update again.
Thoughts? Better ways to go about it?
Thanks!
]]>I am using a WP dinosaur on a client’s site. (No resources right now to update WP.)
Does this plugin work with such an old version?
We have a spam issue and I am looking for a solution.
Warm regards,

After a fast search on Google I found no advice yet I found a lot of websites that have this exact row of links in pages.
Could someone please help me remove it? Or at least instruct me with minimal ideas of where I should look or what I should look for.
I ran out of ideas. I tried header, footer, javascript, 404 page, a search through all files with these key words, a search in all files with these key words encoded in base 64, nothing!
The plugin installs; but, when I click on manage > Advanced Export, I get the following error “Fatal error: Call to undefined function screen_icon() in /usr/…/wp-content/plugins/advanced-export-for-wp-wpmu/ra-export.php on line 260”
Is there a work around or an older version of the plugin that would work with WordPress 2.6? My friends are desperate…
Thanks in advance, -Rick

]]>Since I am thinking of changing the theme, it doesnt seem to make sense. However, when I go to look at how certain themes and how they will look, some do not show up; I just get a blank white page.
I tried on another site that is running the current WordPress, but not Thesis, and it does show up so it is something related to my other site. But I am not sure how to * fix * this. Advice?
Thanks.
]]>Now I have to move a wordpress site that I create through my own hosting account (fatcow.com) and move it to a clients hosting account where they already have a wordpress website that they want to change to the one i just created. Can i do the exact same thing that I did before and use the database information from the current wordpress site they have? or am i still going through all of the steps of making a new database in their hosting account?
Sorry I am new to all of this but it worked so well the first time I’m hoping I get it right this time as well!
Thanks for your help!
