I have had this website as a single site since 2019 and everything was working fine. Now I would like to make an intranet for our volunteers and this is where I hit some problems. Everything went well with the WP installation, I am really thorough with everything so I read everything multiple times and make sure everything I do is correct. Multisite has been installed. I went with a sub-domain as this was the only choice for me, but it also makes much more sense for my situation.
Main site works as expected. Subdomain doesn’t work and instead shows an error from my host (https://volunteer.repaircafeodense.dk/)

I am pretty sure that this is not a problem of WP but rather my host. <span style=”text-decoration: underline;”>I have contacted One.com support and it has been incredibly unhelpful and even rude so I am turning to you hoping to understand the situation better.
What I was hoping to get is some knowledge about how multisite actually works and if there is anything that I could do in this case on my own. I have searched google left and right and the only relevant thing I can find is a tweet from a few years ago by one.com claiming that they allow multisite.
I want to ask if anybody has experience and has managed to get multisite working with one.com. If so, how?
Why would a host disallow multisite? I mean it’s my domain, I am paying for the server, so it just doesn’t make sense for me that it wouldn’t work…
Thanks for your help!
Cheers,
Alain
I have troubles handling following issue:
Loading https://anepicview.be into GTMetrix shows data for plug-ins is being retrieved from the staging domain https://usercontent.one instead of https://anepicview.be causing a delay in loading time.
I don’t know what is causing this issue, and have opened a ticket at One.com with no reply after one month. Has anyone experienced a same issue? Any idea how I can solve this?
Thank you very much.
Indira
I’m with one.com and am in the process of setting up a WP website with them. Please can you advise if the Booking Calendar plugin integrates with the Woocommerce plugin so bookings and purchases can all be paid together at the end of booking/ordering? If not what is the solution to achieve this?
Many thanks
You can read the guide here: https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce/wiki/Declaring-WooCommerce-support-in-themes
The most common mistake is using add_theme_support during the ‘init’ hook instead of the ‘after_setup_theme’ hook (see https://developer.www.ads-software.com/reference/functions/add_theme_support/).
I now migrated one Website to Strato – where I had at the beginning some problems, because the export did not work. The support was again very fast and very helpful. This time the issue was some directories with special characters. I solved this and the plugin does its job as expected. I tried to use the plugin “duplicator” for the Strato website as well – but I didn’t manage to import the backup because of errors in the connection of the database. Maybe that would have been easy to solve, but All-in-one WP-migration was easier
There is only one disadvantage: this plugin does not work on Websites hosted by one.com – but this is the fault of one.com – no migration-plugin works on their hosting environment. Therefore I recommend not to use WP hosted by one.com . I use the plugin successfully with wp-hosting providers Strato and webgo24.
I′m having problems of permission on one.com hosting. Is there any compatibility issues with this hosting? When I click in “manage”, i got the information that I have no permission to access this page (https://www.temaswordpressbr.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=duplicator-pro).
Any hint how can I solve this issue?
Thanks,

A support member from the hosting service one.com has told me that taking a backup via their file manager should be enough to fully backup my wordpress site.
However, I’m still in doubt.
Is there anything more I need to take a backup of?
What about the wordpress and theme settings etc?
Best regards,
Frederik
I have had this problem for a few weeks now, with numorous google searches and how-to’s and nobody really seem to have the same problem as i do.
I have done some kind of weird mixup woth one.com and wordpress, so its integrated into my website (??)… this means i have no actual files on my computer or any other directory to access. Only the theme controlpanel etc on my website.
my problem is that i have a header saying “LATEST” that i cannot edit in any way.
Pic <-This is the header.
I cannot change the title in widgets, or any other edit tool.
Im all new to this wordpress thingy, so tell me if you need more info.
Would really appeciate some help, im really get sick of this problem!
Thx
