Maps and Locations not optimal

Initially, I was quite pleased with this plugin. It offers a map with the ability to automatically map the user to their current location. It’s also fast which is another major point for my site. Still, there are issues that make using the plugin on my site difficult. First, when OSM is used as a map, the displayed map cannot be moved by the user without the page automatically triggering the display of one of the classifieds one entered previously. Second, the location options are tied to the address field. If I don’t want to use the location drop-down, I also use the option to enter any location at all. I would appreciate it, if these issues are worked on for future releases.

Jet Engine Map Listing Open Street Maps

Can someone please help me? I’m using the map listing from Jet Engine. I need to add to the Open Street Maps the following fields:

Select Categories Full Screen Geolocation Find a Marker Find an Address

I am sending a screenshot of a map that I use without these markers and another screenshot with the markings I want. I don’t understand anything about programming, I’ve researched some things, but I don’t think it works with Jet Engine.

If you can help me, I will be very grateful.

Alternative to Google Maps API?

Hello. Google Maps API is much too expensive for sites with high traffic. And the API setup is not that user friendly for non-techie users.

Would you consider adding another option for maps & geolocation such as Leaflet & Open Street Map? I think plugin users would like to have such an option.

Open Street Maps Showing in Backend but not in events page on site.

I’ve transitioned from GMaps to Open Street Maps since GMaps maps were “Unavailable.” The Open Street maps are showing fine in the events back end of the site but not in the front end of the site: https://www.weareOneChurch.com.

I avoid Google’s tracking services whenever possible, and I don’t want visitors to any of my sites to automatically be tracked and surveilled.

This plugin does exactly what I needed it to do — override Google Maps and make OSM the default.

hi dude, very nice try.
I’m missing a couple of features:
1 – there is no way to add cooordinates, the only way to get the pin displayed is to input the address. However, seems that the address is not really the right one. for example: with your plugin, when I input the address, it gives me:
LAT: 45.1820422
LON: 9.146669
If I get coordinates on latlong.net, with same address I get the following:
LAT: 45.183520
LON: 9.146300
yes there is a small difference but it’s not the right point!
2 – If I try to drag the pin on the map, the pin does not move.

Hi Franky. Since you’ve gone away from Google maps and moved to Open Street Maps, I’ve noticed that the “Default location balloon format” no longer allows for even simple HTML tag use anymore.
