I wish to do following:
upload csv file of products to woocommerce products,
csv contains link to image.
When I publish the product via import the image should be placed into the CATEGORY subfolder of year/month/CATEGORY here….. folder.
Custom Upload Dir does it wonderfully, but not durin the IMPORT of products programatically.
Pretty sure a filter can be added to the wp upload dir functions
Any tips on how to easily do?
structure.
post info, contains image link.
on publish post, IF category info exists, place image into subfolder with that category-slug nameand link as product image.
Would be great if there was an option to add multiple images at once to a category though. I am using it for webshops with hundreds and more images that need to be categorized/assigned to categories.
Just bought the premium version and it is now possible to choose from the categories as well when uploading an image.
PERFECT!!!
Thx for your work!
Annie
]]>I know there were already post to this topic, but they all got closed. I also read that a folder structure would be to complicated for the WP user, but I (and many others) can’t understand this.
I can understand that you won’t change your entire month/year based upload system (or just everthing in “uploads”), but why wouldn’t you at least give the user some virtual folders ?
Just add one simple button to the media library to create a folder. If a users don’t want to use folders, he maybe won’t even notice. But someone who needs folders to find his stuff will love this feature to create “virtual” folders.
The only plugin that does this job is “WP Media Folder”. That costs 15$ and I don’t think a WordPress user who just wants to organize his files like in a…regular media library…should pay this price, for such a basic function.
I really hope that this feature will be added one day, and I think I’m not the only one.

Now it is posible to organize the library in categories, which is awesome!
However when we need to insert an image in a post or product catalogue, that has been uploaded before and categorized in our library with your plugin, these catagories dont show up?
Only the option to search for an image, but the categories are not there to use images from.
Is this something you might consider adding as well?
Thx,
Annie

]]>I started to create tags and add them to the media files but noticed on the Media Tags admin area that the count of media for each media tag always remains at “0”. When I click on the “0” number, it then displays the correct list of media using that particular tag.
Possibly related, when editing a media file info to add a Media Tag, clicking “Choose from the most used tags” returns “No tags found” even though I have several Media Tags in use.
I think someone has suggested this already, but I would second the idea to have the capability of bulk adding of Media Tags. Using this plugin may be great for a small Media library, but with a medium to large size library, this becomes a very long and time-consuming process to tag what you need.
Thank you for your effort!
Best regards,
Frank

]]>Does anyone know of a photo plugin that allows admin to create multiple folders to put photos in? I’ve browsed through the list of plugins but none of them mentioned anything about folders.
Thanks.
