(1) What URL can I use here? Oddly, “/news/page/2/” returns a 404, and I can’t seem to find a URL that properly displays posts from all categories. (At the moment I’m just linking to one author’s archive.)
(2) I’ve added the HTML for this to inc > widgets > colormag-featured-posts-widget.php, but I’d obviously like to avoid the customization being overwritten whenever the plugin is updated.
I understand this is not a standard theme file and so cannot be overridden with a child theme file of the same name. Is there somewhere I can call my child theme’s version of colormag-featured-posts-widget.php instead, so it is not overwritten when Colormag is updated?
Thank you!

In addition, the products in the store appear poorly to me, there are strange gaps, would anyone know why this happens?

]]>am having issue with the category base and pagination. have been looking several posts on google, but i don’t see any solution. Here why am opening a topic.
Well,
I set my category base as category into my permalink. when am doing /category/my_category/ it display things on my category.php page.
when am doing /category/my_category/page/2/ it works too.
but when am doing /category/ if forward me to my 404.php page error.
Is not supposed to forward on archive.php ?
Now, when am creating a page, named category, and when am doing /category/, it works. But, when am doing /category/page/2/ it forward me on a 404 error.
Here am stuck. Any tips or solution ?

I have a problem in my web page I can’t solve. When I click in page 2 at the bottom of the portfolio page, It doesn’t work. Basically, page 2 doesn’t exist, so, where can i see the items of the portfolio that cant be shown in the first page?
Therefore, altough I specify to publish all the portfolio items in the first page, the theme only shows 16.
Could you help me?
Thank you very much and sorry for my English. There’s a lot time since I don`t practice.
]]>One of my galleries “land, sea & city scapes” which has 26 images (it is set up for 25 images per page) in it is only displaying the first 20 images then offering page 2 option – but page 2 shows no further images. These images are in the gallery and show in the slide show scroll for eCommerce.
]]>Have tried
'numberposts' => -1
'posts_per_page' => 200
neither brings up more than 35 (latest) posts.
I need to loop through ALL of the posts (in a category), what am I missing?
]]>I’ve investigated this problem for 2 days already, I can see there is an enormous amount of people having this issue and I couldn’t find single definitive answer to this problem.
I figured perhaps I should ask in a forum to explain my situation and perhaps explain better what’s happening in a hope to get a solution.
I’m having this problem with my actual website(that is live) but for testing purposes I just now installed brand new WP 4.5.3 copy on my local machine and the problem still EXISTS.
1. Installed brand new WordPress
2. Deleted all default plugins
3. Changed Permalink to /%category%/%postname%/
4. Changed “Category base” to “.” in order to get rid of that "/category/"
that appears in URL
5. Created a category called “Articles”
6. Created 13 dummy articles with random titles and body text
7. Visited my newly created category URL(127.0.0.1/wordpress/articles”
8. I see there 10 posts(since that’s what set by default in Reading) once I hit “old entries” button at the very bottom of the page to see my other 3 posts it redirects me to 12.0.0.1/wordpress/articles/page/2/ and throws this 404 page not found error
BUT… here is the thing….
If I get rid of that “.” in the “Category base” and allow that “/category/” to appear in URL address this fixes the problem! but then I gotta live with this “/category/” in a URL which I can’t since it’ll break my content structure and also it doesn’t look right with my website.
So, I guess my questions is…
How can keep that “/category/” stripped out from my URL but at the same time solve this going to second page(old queries) and getting this page not found error?
Thanks for the help
