New Posts Exist But Page Doesn’t

Hi WordPress Forum Folks, I’m having (for me at least) an odd situation. I’m a bit removed from my prime days where I was actively using WordPress, by about 4 years, and just kinda lost on this.

So I’m trying to get my site up, and generally happy with where its at looks wise, so I made my first post. Post shows up on the front page, and Recent Posts. But when you follow that link it comes up with “Oops! That page can’t be found.”

I’ve tried multiple different posts to be sure. Tried with different themes. Tried with the Classic Editor plugin both on and off. And yet, nothing. I can’t seem to figure out why I can’t get the pages for any post to work.

Anyone got any ideas on this?

A link from the homepage www.penllysbach.com to the wood art page (https://penllysbach.com/?page_id=281) works fine in desktop mode but gives “That page can’t be found” when viewed on an android mobile device. The page is not set to private.
Any thoughts pls?

First let me start with the fact that I am not an IT person. Please bear with me. We contracted a gentleman to help us get this site up. He ended up selling his business to a 3rd party who has never helped us on this. We paid a hosting fee to them for 2020 in early 2020 but have not heard back from them since. I was taught by the first consultant how to log in and do minor WordPress updating. But our page can’t be found now so I don’t even get that far. I cleared all cache and cookies and various other things you suggest, but I can’t do most of the other suggestions. My GoDaddy fees are current so it’s not that side – I believe it’s a WordPress fee that hasn’t been paid? I need help contacting whomever is necessary to get this paid up to date and my web site back up. I understand that it may seem like I’m someone trying to hijack the site, but please put me through the ringer and help me get this going again. I still have the original username and password, even though I created a new one to be able to post in this forum. Thanking you in advance…

Cannot complete authorization

I’m trying to complete the setup for WP Mail SMTP. I’ve created the credentials in my Google Admin console and I entered my client ID and client secret into the WP Mail SMTP settings. When I click “Allow plugin to send emails using your google account,” it takes me to login to my google account. I do that, and then I get an error page saying that the page can’t be found.

Why can’t I get past this stage to complete the authorization? Why would the page not be able to load?

A year or so ago I set up a website on my desktop pc. A couple of days ago I found that I not access it. If I enter https://localhost:81/pcpopbytes/wp-admin/ I reach my dashboard. However, if I enter https://localhost:81/pcpopbytes/ the browser redirects to https://localhost/pcpopbytes/ and I get the message ‘site can’t be reached – localhost refused to connect.’ And if I enter ‘https://localhost:81/pcpopbytes/wp-admin/index.php’, then I get the message ‘oops, page can’t be found’.

Can anyone tell me what the problem is?

The page can’t be found. It looks like nothing was found at this location.

Everything is set and done but all of the pages except 1 show this error when opened.

Hi guys,

Has anyone come across this issue. The ticketing plugin works but after a day, when you click on submit ticket page, it displays “Oops! That page can’t be found”

After you log into WordPress again and refresh the plugin and save, it works then stops again…

Any idea what could be causing this?

archive page doesn’t display but other pages beyond it do

our archive page displays “That page can’t be found” but I can get to sermon recordings beyond that page.

I believe our pretty permalinks settings are correct. This started with the “sermons” slug but in trying to resolve this I changed it to the “recordings” slug and reapplied the pretty permalinks settings. This then allowed the “/recordings/116/” to start working. where before “/sermons/116” wasn’t even working. but still the archive “/recordings” page does not work.

We first came thru some steps with SermonManager not being able to edit .htaccess file, we had to change how our wordpress was being hosted by our web provider to order to get write access to the .htaccess file. Our provider had a managed vs manual update options. We hoped once we switched to manual, and got write access, this problem would resolve, but it did not make a difference. The we tried the above changing the slug to “/recordings”

Product details not showing after publishing

I’m trying to learn wordpress and my products don’t work. When I make a new product and preview it, it works, once published it no longer shows up. I’m sure it is something simple that I just don’t know.

I’ve tried permalinks but may have done something to pages that affected them.

Is there a difference between “shop” and “products”? I would think they would be synonymous or redundant.

If it easier to start from scratch, I just need to know how to reinstall everything to new.

Problem with URl back from goole

All my google page listing return OOPS! THAT PAGE CAN’T BE FOUND. when I follow the link back to my site. Yet when I navigate within the site to the same page it is there!! very frustrating. What am I doing wrong? using latest woocomerce plug in, in latest WordPress template 2017.
