Hello I’ve been dealing with an issue and I would love to have your advices . I have installed polyang and set two languages , in my case , English and Greek , also I ‘ve installed duplicate page . I duplicate every page I have in English in Greek I preview them , I have already translated the menus and add the language switcher . The thing is that when I visited my website and for example I am at Home page of the English version and press the switch button I have the Home page of the Greek version then when I press from the menu another choice of the Greek menu it leads me to the correct page but in English if I press the switcher it displays the corresponding Greek . How can I fix this ? Is there any setting , maybe I haven’t link the menus ? because first I translated the menus and then the pages .

Dear Amit,
I created a page called “Nouveautés” to write a subtitle under the title.
I wrote a few words on the section titles and subtitles of the page as it is on the page shop (called favoris in my website).
The link of this page which is ok: https://odecouvertes.com/boutique/
My problem is that the subtitle written in the same way on the Nouveautés page does not appear.

I configued the Nouveautés page as child of “shop”.
If I put that the page has no parent, the subtitle is displayed but I lose the layout of the products as displayed on the shop page (with sort by popularity, list or grid, side column, etc … ) and the shortcode [product_category category = “nouveautes”] gives me a nasty display of products.
How to display subtitles on “Nouveautés” page and keep the layout of the theme and the shop page?

Pages are reordering

I made some edits to static pages in the text only, updated, and now the order they appear in my pages menu on the right sidebar is totally different.

Originally it was and should be:
Home
Our Kennel
– Food & Nutrition
Our Dairy
– Our Products
– Our Tribe
– Our Does
Blog
Contact Us

The Blog and Contact Us pages have moved to the top and under our Dairy, Our Does moved to the top of the child menu when it should be the third. I’ve double checked the positioning per parents and order.

Having trouble with new pagina's and menu structure

Dear users,

First time install for me and I’m creating a website for a friend of mine his car company.

So the issue on hand is as following. I have made a first home page with some information on it. Then when I add more pages , the page names appear neatly at the top of the site in the menu. But the page names also appear on the main/body part of the Home page.

What am I doiong wrong here I’m, absolutely clueless.

Can't edit menus

Hi,

I want to edit the Pages menu but I can’t as all the options are greyed out. In addition, I deleted the original Home page but it is still appearing in my menu bar. When I look at Pages – Most Recent the ‘Home’ page is not there but if I switch tab to View All it is still there. Needless to say, this is messing up my menu bar. I am using Woo’s Canvas theme.

Getting Started with Managing Pages & Menus

Hi all,

I’m trying to set up a wp site that works more like a static site where many pages that are not blog type (time date sensitive) can be managed and displayed.

So, this sounds like focusing more on pages rather than posts.

The main question is since pages don’t seem to have categories, then what is the best way to create a navigation menu system for them?

I was fooling around with this:

– I created a master page (like a category)
– added it to the main menu
– then on the page , I can ceate links to the sub pages
– I can also add the sub pages to the main menu and drag them right – under the main cat…

– Is this a good way to manage menus for pages?

– Is there a better way to do this?

– Are there any links on this to check out?

Plug-ins for folding PAGE menu?

There are all kinds of plug-ins for folding category menus, but are there any around that will make a folding PAGE menu in your sidebar?

I found a couple that had potential, but they are really out of date.

If not a plug-in, can anyone tell me a way to make a Pages menu folding?

f2 theme doesn’t respect page order

Hi everybody,

I’m using theme f2 v1.0.8, latest version (just downloaded it).

I changed the page order manually since I want an item to appear last in the “Pages” menu. It doesn’t work. Page order remains the same i.e. alphabetical order.

Anybody has the same issue ?

I’ll keep searching. Writing a patch, maybe ?

wp_list_pages – tree with collapsed subpages

Hello all,
I am able to list, say, 2 levels of pages – e.g. wp_list_pages(‘echo=0&depth=2&title_li=’);

Every page at depth 2 contains plenty of subpages. => entire menu generated by wp_list_pages is too huge.
Is it possible to generated 3rd level subpages menu when the users clicks on a 2nd level page?
Something like a collapsable product tree.

Example:
Products
-SW
+-Sub1
+-Page1
+-Page2
+-Sub2
-HW
+-Sub3
+-Sub4

I would like to have a menu where Page1 and Page2 are shown only if the user browses Sub1 page or any of its subpages (ie. Page1 or Page2)

Is it possible to to that?
