I’m getting nearly 4s render delay with wikipedia-preview plug-in enabled, which is about 87% of LCP according to PageSpeed Insights.

]]>CookieYes’ support quoted that “CookieYes proactively blocks scripts before obtaining consent“. They didn’t respond to questions whether this blocks essential JS scripts by Elementor or other page builders, how to add exceptions for such scripts, and have gone dark since. Support’s only proposed solution was to prefetch CookieYes’ DNS, which had absolutely no impact on performance.
Questions we have:
- What is the recommended CookieYes implementation method on a WordPress website: plugin, GTM, or script snippet? If there is a preferred method, what benefits does it offer over the other methods?
- How can we add exceptions to run essential scripts that do not collect any user data?
- Do geo features or other CY features introduce additional TBT? (We use geo targeting to show different banner to countries that are not part of GDPR.) Which features we should consider opting out from to reduce TBT?
We can keep going, but generally are looking for guidance on how to best implement the script or plugin to reduce impact on performance.

A search of the MySQL database reveals over 90 references to robotos.txt but most of these appear to be in plugins.
I’ve removed AIOSEO since activating it also has filled my Plugins page with requests to install yet more plugins. and it installed a link checker I didn’t request or authorise.
How can I force WP to start allowing indexing?

]]>I am trying to improve my performance score on PageSpeed Insights. It says Tap targets are not sized appropriately – 97% appropriately sized tap targets. Then it shows my comment box and the checkbox for saving your information, and that they need to be at least 48x48px. This is for the mobile version of my website. There are unfortunately two malfunctions. When I use the “Cursor V.” :
- the link to Write a review works well on computer (Firefox) but causes a 404 error on mobile (Firefox).
- Google PageSpeed Insights reports an error “Background and foreground colors are not contrasted enough” for many objects displayed by the plugin.
Can you help me please ?
