Timezone management in the plugin is just broken. Everywhere. Times don’t display right, the calendar will put your events in server time (UTC) with the current time pointing to your user’s timezone. You’re going to miss calls unless you are a single-user in this system or you never have to manage multiple timezones.
They follow NO proper standards for webhooks or API integrations, even for things as simple as proper timestamp formats, so if you’re hoping to do any automation in the future, have fun. The calls also randomly drop fields that aren’t even user based – such as how long call durations are for. The only way I can even think of that happening is Amelia poorly managing errors and just sending along bad data anyway without any type of notification… an absolutely horrible practice. Getting calls into our CRM was a nightmare.
The scheduling form randomly won’t validate fields, meaning they’re doing no sort of server-side validation (my guess) and just letting bad data through. This also leads me to guess there’s risk for security gaps with poor validation, but I don’t know for certain.
At the end of the day – we used this for a month, and we spent more time fixing and working around Amelia than on calls. We’ve tabled ALL of our development for the month to focus entirely on ripping this out of our system and finding a replacement.
Unless you literally have no choice, or you are using Amelia in the most basic of scheduling needs, skip this one. You’ll regret using Amelia.
]]>If you delete this plugin, then in your “hPanel” (Hostinger’s poor attempt at making a cPanel, but getting a tiny bit better.) you get this BOLD message stating that it NEEDS to be installed. It doesn’t do anything once you initially setup a website! It also adds a menu and site menu item, making your dashboard even more crowded.
This should be an option when installing WP, and should be able to delete it without ever seeing any mention of it again! (*Their support is nothing but someone copying and pasting FAQ entries. It takes 10x the amount of time to do anything in hPanel as it does in cPanel.)
]]>Next time, don’t steal time from me to setup your bs extra plugins. You are creepy.
No means no. Don’t install your crap when I specifically say no.
Now that I deactivated I have to find out how to remove the oversized monsterinsights setup reminder. Again, this is “after” deactivating the extra third party plugin that you installed.
WordPress allows plugin developers to install additional plugins without permission? Ma.tt/ that’s just gross.
]]>Why can’t I just connect woocommerce to my own curated plugins instead of a child’s list of curated plugins? Your basket isn’t secure enough to hold all my eggs. Over and over again, lose money woocommerce.
If you want to enable ecommerce for more people, stop the UX confusion and addition of non-essential plugins. No one wants to learn mailpoet while setting up a store. Does mailpoet installation automatically setup woocommerce and jetpack?
]]>It works but it’s a pain in the a… to use it!!!
]]>I would like to use backWPup, but I have an issue I cannot fix.
When I start a job, everything seems fine. But after 5 minutes, the progess bar jumps to 100%. When I click on the log, it says it’s still compressing zip files. I then refresh the screen and the progess bar jumps back to 35%. And then it stays there. Forever. Nothing really happens after that.
Is that a known issue?
What can I do?
Thanks and best
Chris
]]>Second, I am using a bootstrap theme and would rather update the text fields, buttons, glyphicons, etc to be the ones provided in bootstraps documentation which most people with eyes would agree are aesthetically superior. I was able to change the “search” button to a bootstrap button, however, updating the text fields has taken me to the depths of hell.
After a solid day of trying everything under the sun I unfortunately have to give up.
I am baffled by your excessive CSS, you have by far more files in this plug-in than are necessary. It feels as though you have broken each plug-in screen down into multiple files which has been a massive pain for me to attempt to figure out.
Let me know when you update this plug-in so people can finally have a say in the css…

]]>I’m not sure if this is the right place to ask this question, but I’ve been sitting in front of my computer for many, many, many hours trying to get some answers.
I created a CSS and HTML website via Twitter Boostrap toolkit. (it’s a framework that supplies clean cut CSS and Javascript plugins.)
I’m trying to add e-commerce and I want to take advantage of what WordPress offers.
How should I go about transferring my HTML and CSS files I have to word press?
My layout is as follows:
Header Image
Nav
Slideshow
Content
Footer
(No sidebar)
Fixed width of 960px.
My goal is to create a wordpress theme and then be able to incorporate ecommerce via wordpress. I also want to take advantage of multi-site and buddypress.
But my main goal right now is converting what I have to wordpress, then I’ll deal with that stuff later.
I tried to cut it up and put it in .php files, but I’m having a horrible time.
I’m using a lot of javascript files that are embedded into the HTML file and I’m using some inline code to override the external CSS style sheets.
My layout seems simple enough but I cannot find a matching theme and I really would like to convert what I have to wordpress.
I know HTML and CSS very well, but I know very little of PHP.
I even suffered through an entire lesson on lynda.com on how to create custom themes, but after an hour of lessons, I didn’t learn anything.
I was thinking about using the twenty eleven theme, but idk how to make the header a slideshow…but that might not even be a solution for me!
Please help D:
]]>All of a sudden, everytime I now update a post, page, a theme setting, something in the editor or anything I just come to a blank, empty page. But, everything is saved. Why is this?
Same goes for uploading images; it just stops on “chrunching” and then goes on to the next image. So If I try to upload 20 images, I’ll end up with 20 “chrunching” images. But after the last image has started “chruncing” I can save and every image is there.
I haven’t done any changes to anything other than my posts and adding a widget or two which I removed again to see if this resolved anything. It didn’t.
While saving a post, the blank page it stops on is: https://www.defaultdomain.com/wp-admin/post.php
While saving in the Edit Theme, the blank page it stops on is: https://www.defaultdomain.com/wp-admin/theme-editor.php
Have anyone experiencet this before? Or does anyone have any idea what this could be? AND, could anyone help me with this?
I’m running the newest update of WordPress.
Thanks!
