However, when you are working on larger screen, like laptop, if you click on a map marker to open the info popup it opens but usually the top half-of the popup is hidden outside the top of the map view area… so the user will have to drag down the map each time in order to bring the top of the info popup window into view. Ideally, you would want the map to slightly re-position itself so that the top of the info popup window is in full view and requires no dragging to see it by the user. I’ve seen this done on other mapping sites, so it must be a common thing for map devs, especially all the resources available for Leaflet.
Perhaps the Leaflet map panning answer lies here…
https://gis.stackexchange.com/questions/261142/leaflet-mouseover-popup-makes-whole-map-move
I do notice that the map does not pan to include the info popup on the initial map view, but after the first marker popup has been opened and closed, the next marker opened popup map is pans to include it in the map view in windows. however even in this case the top of the popup info window is covered up by the map search box at the top of the map view.

]]>I’m working on a landing page using the Twenty Seventeen theme.
I have a big problem that probably (I hope) has a simple solution.
The links on the nav bar on the top of the page are linked to ancors on the body of the page. For this reason when you click it scrolls down. Problem is that while scrolling the navigation bar is still visible and part of the contents are covered by the bar.
Do you know how can I make sure that this doesn’t happen? Should I alter via CSS the panning of the anchor? I read somewhere that the best solutioj involves Javascript (that I know but I’ve never used in WordPress).
I hope in a simple solution though!
Thank you for your help!!!!

When you scroll down to the “Where I’ve Been” section, scrolling down with your finger only pans the map, which is annoying if you just want to keep scrolling to the next section. How can I disable that auto-finger-panning on that section, on mobile display?
Thank you!

]]>I have added a map to my page and tried to pan into the page/map with my mouse with my desktop computer. Unfortunately that did not work. Tried to figure out why for something like two hours and could’t find a solution. Than i thought, try it with your touchable screen here on my Laptop/desktop and it worked.
Question: Is the mouse panning function surpressed when a toucable screen is used?
Could there be a workaround?

]]>I’m wondering if there is a way to limit how far users can pan, set an extent limit. I’m using custom TileMill/MapBox tiles and on another website using the tiles, I can dial in where users can pan.
Can I do that with MapsMarker? If not, how do others with a small region of geographic tiles handle this? Is there a way for Google maps to show up once outside the custom region?
Also, new to wordpress here, but am wondering if I can add my own javascript to the maps? I would also like to have a legend that can be turned on or off by user and have it change based on zoom level, like done here, https://baytrail.abag.ca.gov/baytrailmap.html
Thanks,
Tim

]]>On the following page I’m showing two maps with OpenStreetMap: https://betatechnologies.info/contacts
When clicking on one to pan with drag & drop, and moving to the map below, both also move! Also, it seems that once I’m in “panning” mode, there is no way to stop the panning.
Zooming in/out has no problem whatsoever; each map is independently zoomed.
Tested with Chrome and FireFox under Apple Mac OS X Lion.
Note that this has been the case since the plugin version 3.2; since there have been a few releases, I patiently waited to see if the issue disappeared on the more recent versions. I’m pretty sure this worked flawlessly under 2.X.
