I am using parabola theme and have added a custom menu to right sidebar at the moment. I am trying to no avail to make a right sidebar menu. I would like to add pages there that I do NOT want on the top menu. The only option I get is to add the header menus items. This is the first time I have used parabola and find it a bit restraining on some things. If I can get some help, I would really appreciate it.

PROBLEM HAS BEEN RESOLVED

If I disable the plugin it goes back to normal. If the plugin is active I cant edit my theme settings, it wont load the jquery.

The error is:

“Checking jQuery functionality…
If this message remains visible after the page has loaded then there is a problem with your WordPress jQuery library. This can have several causes, including incompatible plugins. The Parabola Settings page cannot function without jQuery.”

What can I do?

Because i need more columns in my page , i have used both the bottom text grid

I would like to lessen the area between widgets in the header area. There is room for two, and I have used “search” and a social icon plugin. The search is on the bottom and is sitting right on top of the menu with the bottom border cut off. They stack on top of one another and I could raise the height of the header, but it does not look good. I want to lessen the area between the widgets, but do not know what area to edit.

The second question is similar to the first but has to do with the footer. There are four horizontal areas to add widgets. When you add more than one widget to the same area it stacks and the background color of the footer shows between the widgets. If you add several, then it looks striped like a zebra…alternating background color of footer and widget background. My footer background is dark green and the widget backgrounds (text, social icons, menu, etc.) are light. Would appreciate any help. Thanks in advance.

Finally know how to Presentation page reactivated. I search the forum and saw that it has to work:

presentation page now displays latest posts by default (requested by WordPress); this can be disabled in the theme settings

presentation page no longer overrides static page (requested by WordPress); make sure you don’t select a static page under Settings > Reading or you will no longer see the presentation page.

Now if you go to my website you come to the Presentation page. But I want that page on my home page are created.

example, if you come to my website and you go through menus to contact and click back to home page you come not back on the ”Presentation page” but on my own created Home page.. The intent is that the content from Presenation page (slider, text boxes etc). Come to my own home page..

I have done a lot of searching on the subject of Error: Missing required field “updated”. in Rich text snippets report at Google. I am not able to find an answer that solves this issue in Parabola.

If anyone has suggestions how to fix this issue in this theme I will be very grateful.

My research seems to find i need to edit the Parabola: Single Post (single.php) file. I am not able to identify a call for the date or how I should edit.

In the file i see a reference to posted_on would the fix be somewhere here?
