Remove top/bottom padding on Revolution Slider

Hello,

On my site I am trying to use the Revolution Slider with a template that did not come packaged with the template. The template I am using is Parker by Umbrella.

Please view the site at this link to see the top and bottom padding I wish to remove, I want the slider to be right under the navigation menu.

Twenty Fourteen – displaying only 20 posts

I’m helping a very non-tech performing arts nonprofit migrate from an old, hard-coded theme to a Twenty Fourteen Child theme. The primary changes in the child theme are colors and the addition of an additional menu in the footer. However, they are using a Static Front Page and a Posts Page for displaying posts in the categories of Performers and News.

I have changed the Settings > Reading > Blog pages show at most to 75 posts, however, the Posts Page displays only 20 and there doesn’t appear to be any pagination to the rests of the posts. The very non-tech savvy nonprofit staff want all of the performers to appear on the Performers posts to appear on the Posts Page.

I’ve looked at the content.php template & the category.php template, and can’t see what is preventing all 32 posts from displaying. The URL to the development site example is:

Can/would anyone tell me what I need to modify to display all of the Performers posts on the Posts Page?

I’d appreciate the assistance. And if I can solve this issue, I believe I can get them moved to their Live Site and be done.

Missing sidebar, footer, "WP stripe"

Hello,
My name is Joe and I could use your knowledge and help. I noticed today that on my site’s main post page that the sidebar, footer, “older posts link” and the gray WP site stripe that runs horizontally across the top of the page are no longer visible. All of these things ARE visible on other pages just as they’ve always been. Also the text body is now the same color as the page background color instead of white. I use the WordPress Default for a theme right now.

And please let me point out that while my site is LGBT oriented it does not feature any porn.

Ever hear of the phrase if it aint’ broke don’t fix it? I see there have been other posts started, and closed on this, but I have to comment. All these benefits you tout in the description, better legibility and so forth, are just not true! It’s very hard to see white on black type, there is nothing wrong with gray gradients, they type face is not user friendly or easy to read, it’s just all bad. Is there a way to go back? I have two WP sites open and had to upgrade one, the other I will not until I am absolutely forced to. I have both open side by side and the old one is much more readable. Why? Why? Why?

"Not Acceptable" displays when update is clicked. WP 3.8

Hi,

I’m trying to update a page with a YouTube embed link but it refuses to update my post.
Once I click update a blank screen pops up with the words “Not Acceptable.”
This is the tag (below) that I have been using prior to updating to WORDPRESS 3.8:

Please check date field in quick edit screen (posts list) at back end, dates are not properly displaying. It just cuts.

Changes from v3.7 to v3.8 in Networked Sites?

What have I missed in the upgrade from v3.7 to Parker, please? I have spent a while looking over the updated site and am really happy, and upgraded both my main site and a networked site that runs under that one… but now I find that I cannot create a new networked site.

I fill out the little form, with the name I need. I create a new e-mail and account, and so on. It looks like it works, but clicking on the link doesn’t bring up Another WordPress site… it brings up the White Screen of Disappointment.

WP-Minify does not play nice with WordPress 3.8

Not sure what the exact issue is, but my theme got all screwed up in WordPress 3.8 and disabling WP-Minify fixed it. When I tried to clear the cache manually, the page kept loading and loading, but it never seemed to resolve. Hope this gets fixed soon.

First Footer Widget Area is located in left column where primary and secondary widgets are situated, it should be in right column where Footer widget areas are situated.
