Working on a scavenger hunt to the link is literally a secret, but we’re learning the password only works SOMETIMES. We have verified this for ourselves. It is a long password (passphrase really) using hyphens but no other punctuation. Is this a known issue?

Password resets correctly but fails to login

Hi there, I’m having a problem with the password resets. I have looked at the forum and the previous thread on a similar issue in fact describes a different problem.

When a registered user clicks on password reset, the email with the link is received correctly. The reset works fine and the result is the ‘Success!’ message. The admin email receives the notification that a user has changed the password. So it looks as if at database level this is working.

However, when the user tries to log in with the new password, they get the ‘Oops!’ fail message and they can’t use the new password. The only way to reset the password is via the WP dashboard. This is extremely inconvenient.

I have already spoken to my host which is Flywheel and it can’t be anything on their end.

The set up is Astra Theme with LearnDash & relevant integrations (GF, Stripe), Beaver Builder, Beaver Themer, Ultimate Addons for BB – all up to date.

completely locked out and won't send new password

I went to move my domain this morning, and it wouldn’t take my login. I thought maybe I mis-wrote my password, so I entered my login/e-mail, and it would not send me a new password. Now my entire site is down. I’m just getting started on WordPress, so I really have no idea what to do now. I’ve tried clearing my cookies and cache, but beyond that I don’t know how to get into anything. Not sure what to do?

Dear all

so…. I come to update my blog and it asks me for my password, which seems to happen at irregular intervals

only now it says ‘password not recognised’ – and I know it’s right – it’s the same one that worked perfectly yesterday. So I click on the ‘forgotten password’ link and it sends me an email and I click the link and it says ‘key not valid’ on occasion, or just rejects the password.

what the merry hell is happening?

how can I fix it?
