I determined that the PDB plugin causing the issue. When I disable it and the issue goes away. So, any idea what needs to be done to correct this issue?
Regards,
]]>We would like to have a class of PDb editors who have the ability to edit the contents of only certain database fields, but not others.
Along these lines, one of those fields would be a log that staff can update to take notes documenting their interactions between club members and our staff (e.g. text and phone inquiries, emails, etc.). We would want staff to have limited editing privileges so that they are able to update specific fields such as those, but without being able to alter the other fields or delete members.
If it is possible to do this, guidance would be appreciated. Thanks very much.
]]>This became a problem somewhere between 1.7.9.12 and the current, 1.8.4.9. With 1.7.9.12, this wasn’t an issue. I have dug around some but haven’t been able to find where the issue may be.
]]>My goal is to search records based on first name, last name, or county and then filter the results to display a list of only the records I have approved. I’ve found documentation on filtering the initial view of a list, but then the filter goes away when I attempt to search for a first name with the letter M. Mark Driscoll and Elizabeth Driscoll are the only two approved records in the database, but 6 unapproved entries are also displayed.
I’m offering certified training to my customers and I want to use this plugin to allow employers to search for verification of training. I will manually approve each record once the student passes the class, at the same time I mark them as certified in a skill and set their training and expiration dates.
]]>I just so happened to be debugging my site when I loaded the latest version of PDb.
Prior to that I wasn’t getting any errors from PDb on the log but I did have a warning in WP Debug mode. After the update I’m getting multiple errors on my log.
I’m getting this error for every PDb short code instance:
PDb_List_Query::_clear_query_session
See this page https://jhcband.org/ourmembers/
It needed to be sorted in Score Order so I have a custom template short code for each section. The birthdays in the right are called with do_shortcode. The birthdays in the bottom widget are also called with do_shortcode but also in an iFrame. I deactivated both those, cleared my log, and refreshed the page. I got the PDb_List_Query::_clear_query_session on my error log exactly as many times as I have a short code on that page.
Other errors and warnings..
When I started debugging on 2/3 I had this warning:
Warning: session_start(): Cannot send session cache limiter – headers already sent (output started at —/plugins/omni-secure-files/omni-secure-files.php:280) in —/plugins/participants-database/classes/PDb_Session.class.php on line 71
I deactivated omni-secure-files (it was throwing a bunch of warnings).
On 2/11, before I updated the PDb plug in I was still getting this warning (I included 2 warnings I’m working on that had the same line number). And I’m still getting this warning after the update:
Notice: is_archive was called incorrectly. Conditional query tags do not work before the query is run. Before then, they always return false. Please see Debugging in WordPress for more information. (This message was added in version 3.1.0.) in —/wp-includes/functions.php on line 4136

Thank you for any help on this.
Julie
First I would like to thank you for the excellent work you have put into this plugin, it’s a dream come true for displaying databases on a WP site. The plugin has worked like a charm for the past months I’ve been using it. However in the past few days I’ve ran into a problem and it won’t let me open the settings page. It displays “Fatal error: Call to private method PDb_Live_Notification::analytics_vars() from context ” in /hermes/bosnaweb03a/b2377/nf.aspenvapesca/research/wp-content/plugins/participants-database/classes/PDb_Live_Notification.class.php on line 47″
On the installed plugin details there are also some error messages, “Warning: file_get_contents(): https:// wrapper is disabled in the server configuration by allow_url_fopen=0 in /hermes/bosnaweb03a/b2377/nf.aspenvapesca/research/wp-content/plugins/participants-database/classes/PDb_Update_Notices.class.php on line 190 Warning: file_get_contents(https://plugins.svn.www.ads-software.com/participants-database/trunk/readme.txt?format=txt): failed to open stream: no suitable wrapper could be found in /hermes/bosnaweb03a/b2377/nf.aspenvapesca/research/wp-content/plugins/participants-database/classes/PDb_Update_Notices.class.php on line 190 Warning: file_get_contents(): https:// wrapper is disabled in the server configuration by allow_url_fopen=0 in /hermes/bosnaweb03a/b2377/nf.aspenvapesca/research/wp-content/plugins/participants-database/classes/PDb_Update_Notices.class.php on line 190 Warning: file_get_contents(https://plugins.svn.www.ads-software.com/participants-database/trunk/readme.txt?format=txt): failed to open stream: no suitable wrapper could be found in /hermes/bosnaweb03a/b2377/nf.aspenvapesca/research/wp-content/plugins/participants-database/classes/PDb_Update_Notices.class.php on line 190”
I’ve deleted the plugin and reinstalled, I’ve cleared my cache and databases and I haven’t seen any changes. I would appreciate if you could look into this.
Thank you,
Mark
