Undoing a WP-Optimization?

I’m using the WP-Optimize 3.2.1 plugin on my blog. I just ran an optimization on the page without unchecking one of the items – the “delete pending comments” box. I had several comments in pending that I did not want to have deleted, but by the time I unchecked and refreshed it was too late.
I’m not very good with the technical side of my wordpress site, and Google has been no help in finding a solution. I just want to know: is there a way to undo the optimization and get my pending comments back, or are they gone forever? I’m assuming they’re toast, but wanted to post here in the hopes that someone with more experience than me may know a way to bring them back.

Pending Comments not showing in admin panel since WordPress Update

Pending Comments show the correct count but do not display anything when the tab is selected.

Comment Count is correct as I have checked the database, and the pending comments are in there.

This happened since last WordPress Update to 5.5.1

WordPress theme is custom built. Is there any change that needs to be done in the themes to be compatible with the latest WordPress Update?

For some reason on the Comments tab on my wordpress, it shows that there is a pending comment. However, when I click on the “Pending (1)” tab, the table simply reads, “No comments awaiting moderation.” Now, all of my comments are reviews, but on the reviews tab, the total review count is one less and the tab reads “Pending (0)”.

Not a huge problem, but mildly annoying. I also tried downloading a plugin to delete all pending comments, but that didn’t have an effect, unfortunately. Has this happened to anyone before? Any ideas about what might fix it?

When I log in to my dashboard, wordpress is showing that I have 15 pending comments, however when I go to the pending tab to review them there are no comments. How do I fix this?

Pending comment deleted but WP still shows orange marker for (1) pending coment

Recover Pending comments

Hi I had scheduled automatic optimization….

But I had unchecked “not to remove pending comments”

But automatic optimization deleted my pending comments also. I am not seeing them even in the BIN.

How can I recover them? I had more than 400 pending comments.

I’m currently using the native WordPress commenting system with this theme, and simply want to know how to add a “comment pending approval” or some similar message after someone submits a comments. I’ve noticed that this does not automatically show after a visitor submits a comments and as a result it just confuses commenters as to whether their comment went through or not. Is there a solution for this?

Hi.

My website is simplynatureplusnurture.com

For the past month I’ve not been able to view my pending comments. It says I have 48 pending comments, but when I try to view them, it is a blank page that says “No comments awaiting moderation.”

Tried deactivating all my plug-ins, to no avail.

Any solution is greatly appreciated. Also, I am not very tech savvy and have very little knowledge of web coding. The simpler the solution is described, the better!

When I have the Default Post Status set to “Pending”, Postie sets the wp post status as “Pending Review”.

I also set “Treat Replies As” to “comments” and wp shows these as comments.

On my test site, the new comment is approved if the user has previously commented. It seems to me that comments should also be “Pending” if the Postie option “Default Post Status” is set to “Pending”.

We have users on our site that can post and comment fairly well using wp pages. These same people seem to have poor control of their email or a spammer can send an email posing as an address Postie would pass because it is in the wp_users table . Since some of our users also post via email, we want any post by email to be approved.

I added wp filter ‘pre_comment_approved’ to the filterPostie.php file and that works for me but thought you might want to include something like this in Postie.
