I’m trying to figure out a way in which to customise the shopping experience for customers a little.
Basically, the Woo install is used to sell parts and accessories for different types or brands of machine. We’d like it so that the customer can select the manufacturer of a machine they own on their account page, as well as an admin having that power to select the machine for them and set it on their profile. From there, they can view products that are relevant to their machine first, then go on to view other products if they wish. It’d be nice to display these results first on the product archive page.
Even a simple search query by category or tag would suffice, as long as we can display it in a way as explained above.
I’ve done a lot of Googling, looked at a lot of plugins but nothing seems to tick this box. Any ideas on this, or pointers, would be appreciated.
Thanks!

]]>I am working on updating a website that was initially created by another programmer using the Goodspace theme.
It has a main menu and some side menus in a left sidebar that allow navigation between sections of the same page. I have created a new menu and a new page. The page is titled ‘essays’ and the new menu contains all the titles of the different essays that are going on this page.
Problem is, when I go on the page’s settings and select the left sidebar layout, the new menu ‘essays’ doesn’t appear in the ‘choose left sidebar’ scroll down menu.
I understand I have to create a ‘personalised’ menu, but how do I do that? I tried adding a widget but I am under the impression that I have to modify the code…

Can anyone help, please?
Thanks!
We have 2 questions using your newsletter pluggin.
1. How can we personalise our e-mails on last name.
2. How can we select what subscribers recieve a particular e-mail – we don’t want all subscribers recieve the e-mail.
Please help us out here asap.

]]>I’m currently doing some research for an upcoming webshop. I’m going to create a webshop that allows the user to upload their own photo, set their desired measurements, crop it with an online tool, and then order that picture on a large panel.
I’m planning to create the webshop via wordpress with either Woocommerce or WP e-commerce.
I was going to go for Woocommerce because of the cleaner code, but I’m thinking about maybe going for WP e-commerce. Since it has been around a lot longer, there’s a better chance that someone has allready wrestled with the problems I’m going to have with the personalisation part.
The tricky part is getting the user to upload the photo, crop it online, en connect it to an order.
Has anyone ever done anything like this before, or can anyone send me in the right direction as on how to achieve this?
Kind regards
