Additional after photo with caption

Ever since the latest upgrade, whenever we insert a photo into a post that contains a caption, the editor inserts an extra line beneath the caption. We can delete the line, but as soon as we save the draft or publish, the space re-appears.

It’s driving us a little crazy. Help? This only started to happen after we upgraded to the most recent version of WordPress, and our theme (Canvas) does not list any available updates.

Hi,

I have long captions in my gallery in twenty ten so you can’t tell where one caption ends and the next begins.

I would like to add code to tell it to wrap the photo caption text after 35 characters instead of 42 on a 3 column gallery.

Can someone point me to where to change this in the twenty ten theme?

Photo Captions & Text-Wrap Margin Bugs Ocean Mist 2.0

At Blue Planet Almanac’s live site, the photo captions and text-wrap margins all express themselves cleanly and happily. Ocean Mist 1.2 used there.

At Blue Planet Almanac’s test site the photo captions somehow got steroids and look untoward. And the text-wraps margins of the right of the (left-justifed) photos got nuked. Sans right margins. Ocean Mist 2.0 used here.

Anyone know which code to fix to make the captions smaller and adjust the text-wrap margins at the 2.0 site? I’ve experimented with the photos’ Advanced properties and tested removal and replacement of captions, but those two things didn’t work.
