Photo Captions stopped showing up about 3 weeks ago

The photo captions appeared in the gallery when I first created this page. About three weeks ago, they were no longer showing up. I’ve searched all the forums and don’t see any answers.

I don’t run any crazy plug-ins. I deactivated Imagify and re-activated it to see if that would work, and it did not.

I use the Classic Editor plug-in. (I didn’t like the blocks) I use SiteGround for my hosting and any plugins auto-put on the websites. I’ve not had any issues until now.

I don’t know what to check next. I am using the most current version of WordPress. (and the captions were working and I did not make any changes to plug-ins or theme except to update when things needed updating)

Photo captions displaying incorrectly on AMP

I created a staging site version of my blog to test out the possibility of implementing the AMP plug-in. Right now I have AMP enabled for posts only (not pages) and am using the “transitional” mode of the plug-in. I create my posts using the Gutenberg blocks, so they are simply text blocks and image blocks. My issue is this: on the AMP pages, the photo captions are displaying vertically, instead of horizontally beneath the image as they properly do on the non-AMP version of the post. Any idea why?

Image Carousel not showing all images in mobile view

I have an image-heavy post, and I am using the image carousel shortcode to embed images. Everything looks great in desktop view, but when I view in mobile, I only see the first image in each carousel.

I m flexible on which shortcode I use, so I can use another one if it will work better for my purpose; however, I had previously tried using the gallery shortcode, and there is no option to display image captions, which are necessary for this post.

So I am looking for either one of the following solutions:
– a way to show image captions in the gallery shortcode, or
– a way to view all images in image carousel when viewing on a mobile device

Appreciate any help!

Hi – is there a way to add a white background behind the captions in my photo galleries so you can’t “see through” to the page? For example, when you click on a trainer on https://tltennisandfitness.com/training-2/club-trainers-2/, you can see images behind the photo caption..

Floating and Disappearing Photo Captions in Gutenberg

I haven’t completely made the jump to Gutenberg yet. I’m using it on a secondary site and just making some test post. One thing that is happening is that when I try to write a caption for a photo the caption bounces around the page as I type. When I hit return or click elsewhere it eventually disappears for good.

Any ideas?

Caption Text Wrap scale to image size

Hello all,

I love this Hemingway Theme, but I can’t seem to get the image captions to wrap to the image size. I’ve tried editing the CSS to add a text-align:center, but that didn’t seem to make any difference. Any ideas what I’m doing wrong? The caption is duplicated now just to show that it refuses to wrap. Thank you for any help!
