Photo Engine is the best app I could ever imagine having as a photographer and blogger. Syncing photos between Lightroom and my WordPress site is the definition of “I didn’t know I needed this.”

Media organization, the ability to continuously edit photos, photo SEO optimization, all of it becomes super easy and streamlined with this one app.

Not able to drag pictures in a photo gallery within blog post

I’m having trouble modifying photo galleries on my blog posts. I have WordPress 4.5.2 using Graphene theme and running on Chrome. I have not experienced this problem before. I’ve uploaded pictures to a gallery to create within a blog post and can delete/add pictures in the gallery and title/info/caption. However, I can’t click+hold a photo and drag it to reorder within the gallery like I have been able to in the past. Also another issue I notice is whenever I open a post to edit, or update that post in the editor, the first time I click the gallery it instantly scrolls to the top of the page. When I scroll down to the gallery it is highlighted but the Edit/Remove buttons aren’t shown. I have to click text in the post and reclick the gallery to bring up the Edit/Remove buttons and I can go back in the gallery and edit. They might be related issues with the gallery.

I’m not sure if this issue is related to my new laptop. I am trying this on a new HP Spectre x360 with Windows 10 Home and was previously working on a Lenovo ThinkPad from 2008 with Windows 10 Pro. They’re both Windows 10 so I wouldn’t think it is the problem.

Thumbnails appear darker than the original photo

Hey everyone, I’m trying to upload some new product pics and am having trouble. My product thumbnails appear dark before and after upload, but when you click on the image, it’s the original color/hue.

Can't edit photos

Some of my photos are coming in upside down or sideways. To edit the photos in the album admin I have 3 options, left, 180 and right. I click on these and I see under remarks that I have edited the photos but the thumbnails never change and when I view them on the WP page they are not changed. I also edited the photos from the WP page where they are displayed and the exact same thing happens, the remarks reflect the changes but the thumbnails and page display reflect no changes, I hit the “Exit & refresh” button and also refresh the WP page to no avail. Please advise.

Error establishing a database connection

I have been editing the content of my blog Trudel’s Truth tonight. Up until now I have had no trouble accessing the site. I was inserting a photo in one of the posts and needed to crop it. During the process I got the error message “Error establishing a database connection.”

I have seen other posts with this title but they don’t seem to be relate to this situation.
