Is this something I can do with wordpress and woocommerce perhaps? And would woocommerce support my county’s currency which is rand (ZAR) – south africa.

Thank you!
]]>My business is custom millinery, so I do not have a website full of hats with prices listed with ready-made hats on shelves. My customers contact me for Derby hats, wedding hats, etc., and based on their needs we collaborate on a custom design. Then I price it and they pay me directly (not through the website).
So I do not need a traditional Ecommerce website with shopping cart included.
What I am looking for is a theme that is elegant and professional, that will allow me to showcase my hats (several 100) with descriptions and several views for each hat.
I have been looking at many themes, and wondered if anyone had recommendations for themes that include a Portfolio option?
The other possibility would be to download a Portfolio plugin out of the many that are available.
I would love some suggestions for either of these options. Please keep in mind that my website creation skills are just getting started, so I need theme and/or portfolio plugin suggestions that are straightforward and easy to learn.
Thank you in advance!
Sally

]]>The details
My site, which covers nightlife events, is very image-intensive. Each post covers an individual event and can have anywhere from 10 to 200 photos, with an average of 75 photos per post. I currently have 25,000 photos posted, with expectations of growing to 75,000 to 100,000 photos over the next three years or so.
I have a shared server environment through my web hosting company. I have plenty of storage space, but the problem is that the photo gallery software I was using proved to be very CPU intensive. It wasn’t really noticeable in the beginning, but as the number of photos I posted grew, my CPU usage created problems for my hosting company. I tested my deactivating all of my plugins and then trying one at a time, and it was clearly the plugin. At one point with only that plugin running, my CPU usage hit 12% with only a few hundred page views.
One option my hosting company suggested would be to upgrade to a dedicated server, which I probably can’t afford unless it only cost a few hundred a year. (They didn’t quote me a price and it’s not posted on their site. and I figure if you have to ask, you can’t afford it.)
I thought about using WordPress’ native photo galleries, which might be easier on the CPU than the plugin I was using. But my fear is that I wouldn’t know if it addressed the CPU issue until I had 25,000 photos posted, and if it did create a problem, I couldn’t just deactivate the plugin.
Another option would be to have the images themselves hosted on another photo sharing site that allows me to embed galleries on my own site. But I need to find an image sharing site that allows for risque images. I don’t have anything that is outright pornographic, but my nightlife photos do include go-go dancers, wet underwear contests, the World Naked Bike Ride, etc. Photos that have nudity, but aren’t actual porn. (I’ve taken all of these photos and own the copyright, and none deal with anything illegal like underage models.)
There are some great photo sharing sites out there (I’ve used Flickr for years and I really like them), but the problem is that my content is too risque for many of them. Flickr allows for risque images if they are tagged moderate or restricted. And they allow for galleries to be posted on external sites … but only for safe images. Moderate and restricted photos can be displayed in these galleries. Most of the others won’t allow risque images whatsoever. The few “adult” ones I’ve looked at are pretty cheesy and look like they’re for showing on their site, maybe with a hotlink to individual images but not full galleries.
Does anyone know of a good photo sharing site that (a) allows for external posting of galleries, not just individual images; and (b) allow for risque content, including nudity?
Alternately, does anyone know of an affordable cloud storage option that could work? I’ve considered Dropbox, but I’m concerned I might hit up against their bandwidth limitations if my traffic continues to grow.
Or, third option, does anyone have recommendations for an affordable dedicated server web hosting company?
