Anyhow, I have it published under a temporary domain name and will change it to the real domain name once I have it working right.
The temporary domain name is:
https://3d6.7e1.myftpupload.com/
My problems:
1. I want to make all my pages except the homepage blogs. However, I want to keep the top content that I’ve already posted there and have the blog posts show up below the explanation of the page. I’ve tried and the post replaces what I currently have there.
2. How do I post photos outside of the “box” template. On the sides of the site that show the background with water on it.
3. How do I make my archived posts display on the pages? I’ve tried creating a few posts and they either take over the text content already on the page, that I want to remain where it is, or, the post replaces what is already on that page.
PLEASE HELP!
Thanks,
Rebecca Harding

I’m adding a banner to the top of every page to my website. I made the banner in Photoshop, imported it into WP and inserted it at the top of the page in the visual editor. There is no code around it in the ‘text’ editor, it’s just sitting at the top.
But when I preview/publish, there is a huge gap above the image. You can see the gap I’m talking about on the website linked above — the gap is above the “PC Gaming News” banner.
How can I remove the huge gap?
I don’t understand why it puts a gap there? There is no gap in the visual editor!
Yes, I am new to WP. My HTML skills are minimal, and CSS skills are non existent.
Thanks for any information!

As an alternative, I can create this as my background with photos pasted on and then select this for my background, but I thought I’d ask.
Thanks.

There is a photo. It appears on the right edge. I would like it to move it so it is closer to the text. But my only options are left or right edge, center, or pushing all text out of the so it stands alone.
Is there some simple way to tell that photo to move over, without that resulting in the text being displaced?
Thanks.
