Are there any photographers here that have successfully moved away from the prophoto theme to a good alternative? Which theme did you select?
Sincerely hope there are some photographers out there prepared to reply. Thank you in advance.
]]>I have isolated the issue to a button group on the bottom of the home page that causes the page to display improperly. Removing the button group fixes this error but this is not really a solution, just a work around. Installing any button or button group in place of the deleted button group causes the same error. I have relinstalled the theme, cleared all caches, disabled the plugins etc. but I have not been able to resolve the issue.
I am using the current version of chrome and Windows 10. I was able to replacate the error on two different computers running Chrome and Wondows 10. I am familiar with Neve and built several other sites using Neve starter sites with Chrome and Windows 10 with no issues.
Any help would be appreciated.

I’ve tried contacting Green Turtle labs but no response. Any suggestions on how to fix this?
Thanks,

]]>I’m looking to have my homepage have the same 2×2 (or 3×2, 3×3: whatever) changing photos effect as on this website: www.chikophotography.com.
A helpful soul in another thread (https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/professional-photography-themes-advice-desperately-needed?replies=4#post-7744301) suggested that no plug-in or theme would do what I want “out the box”, but that Master Slider is easily adaptable to do this.
Questions:
1. Can Master Slider do the same effect as on www.chikophotography.com?
2. How can it do this? (Bear in mind, I have zero knowledge of code).
I hope someone can help. I am literally going mad with frustration now. I know what I want, I just can’t do it.
Kind regards,
Bryan

]]>My name’s Bryan and me and my partner are trying to set up a professional photography website. Someone has recommended the “x2” Theme (and the “Responsive” Theme) with the addition of some plug-ins. I can’t see much from the demo (perhaps my iPad only enables limited functionality), so I’m asking here.
Will the “x2” theme what I need it to do? Here are our key concerns.
1. It must be properly usable for a Photography business.
2. I do not know coding but will need to update the website often myself.
3. We want it to look like this website: https://www.chikophotography.com. BUT with the following additions:
3.1 dark / black skinned.
3.2 private galleries with passwords where customers can look at and select and order photos from their shoot.
3.3 shop function where we can sell prints to the public.
3.4 properly usable on different browsers
3.5 properly usable on PCs, Macs, tablets, phones, and so on.
4. Which plug-ins would I need to install? For example, would the 2×2 (or 3×2, whatever) changing images be built-in? Or would I, as I imagine, need to get a plug-in? Which plug-ins would have the same effect as on the https://www.chikophotography homepage?
I hope you can can help me. We have a clear idea in mind of what we want. And the idea isn’t too technically trying. But I am apparently unable to find the right theme or combo of theme and plug-in(s) to meet our needs (not helped because I don’t know coding etc). In short: I am going mad with frustration. (genuinely: after scores of hours of work on this over weeks with everything else being put on hold, I am finding the pressure, stress, and frustration a little bit too much now). I would be so thankful for any help you could give me.
Kind regards,
Bryan

]]>We’re looking to set up a website for a professional photography business. We’ve spent scores of hours the last few weeks looking into every theme we could find online, both recommended and not recommended. But as is sometimes the way, the more we find out, the less we know. However, we are very clear about what we want.
Therefore, I was hoping for some advice from you guys. Particularly, which themes do you think we should go for? Any and all advice would be massively appreciated; I’m losing my mind now, to be honest, and have long since lost objectivity! Another set of outlooks on the matter would help us immensely.
Things we are looking for in our website…
1. We want to use www.ads-software.com. I’ve got blogs at wordpress.com, so I’ve known about WP.org for a while. It’s fantastic and I am sure it is the best bet for us. Therefore, we want to base our website on it (although we are happy to have the website hosted elsewhere if the themes included in WP.org aren’t for us).
2. We like the look of two websites in particular.
The homepage of www.danimantis.com is great. We like the parallax thing and how it has been done there.
We also love the look of www.chikophotography.com ‘s homepage because the animated grid is only 2 x 2 and thus enables visitors to see plenty of images but fairly large.
We’re looking for a clear and easy-to-browse website that has a few images on the front page to show off a bit of variety and a menu somewhere which easily links to other stuff (see danimantis.com and chikophotography, com for good examples of what we would like).
3. We want to have private galleries which are password protected for particular clients. We give the client the password, they type it in, and they have access to the gallery in question.
4. We would like a shop function.
* So clients can use the private galleries function and order photos from there.
* So general visitors can look at publicly displayed / non-password protected photos, which are for sale in the store, and buy those.
5. We are happy to use plug-ins or whatever is required if adding to a theme is needed.
6. We are not techy at all, so things have to be straightforward for us to do.
7. We want to be able to add, change, upload, alter images (etc) on the websites ourselves, regularly, and with the minimum of fuss.
8. We want the website to display properly and be functional whether visitors come via a mobile phone, a PC, an iPad etc.
9. We don’t want the website to be too demanding to open up for visitors. I think it’s called “lazy option compatible” or something.
10. We want to put our logo on the homepage in a not-hidden / sort of obvious way.
11. Synching / direct transferal from LightRoom would be a big plus.
12. The website shouldn’t be prone to crashing for any reason.
13. Ideally, the theme will have decent tech support and stability behind and underlying it.
14. We’re ideally looking for a dark skinned theme, potentially with a touch of vintage or old class to it; but we could settle for modernish dark.
15. The theme shouldn’t force us into linking to Instagram or whatever.
Well, I really hope you guys can help us. As I say, we’ve done absurd amounts of research including long emails to theme makers. Yet I’m less clear than ever on which theme is for us. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Kind regards,
Bryan
