Hello. I am trying to troubleshoot issues with widgets not displaying int the admin area and I found your plugin on a list: WordPress Plugins Using PHP 4 Style Constructors.

Is the report still accurate or have you updated the plugin. Thank you.

(Although you are not listed as the author you are the only plugin with this name and the author they do list does not exist if I do a search for them so I am assuming you are one and the same.)

Is Formidable Forms compatible with WordPress 4.3?

Hi, I just read an article about PHP 4 style constructors no longer being supported in the next update for WordPress (4.3), which will be released on Aug 18th, 2015.

According to the article below, Formidable Forms is still using PHP 4 style constructors.

Is this plugin going to be updated before the release of WP 4.3? Will it break in it’s current state, if I were to update to 4.3.

Just wanted to know what to do in preparation of 4.3.

Hi, I am seeing GC Testimonials and GC Testimonials Recaptcha on the list entitled:
Important Notice for WordPress Plugins Using PHP 4 Style Constructors at this link: https://gist.github.com/chriscct7/d7d077afb01011b1839d
The 1st paragraph at this link states:
“The ability to use PHP 4 style constructors is getting removed from PHP. Without an update, many plugins will eventually no longer work (this is PHP breaking this backwards compatibility, not WordPress)”.

Can you tell us when GC Testimonials will be updated or is there an easy fix that end-users can do? I will need step-by-step instructions if I need to do it. :-).

PHP Compatibility Question

I was just informed by my hosting provider that they will be upgrading me from PHP 5.2 to PHP 5.4. They suggested I make sure all the plugins I’m running are compatible with this version of PHP.

I’m using WordPress version 3.8 and am using version 1.4 of the Global Hide/Remove Admin Bar Plugin and just want to ensure that it is compatible with PHP 5.4.

Any insight would be appreciated. Thank you!!

updating from php4 to php5

Right now I am running php 4, and files with the extension .php5 use php 5. I am going to switch this.
If all of my wordpress sites are all running the current version will I need to do anything?

Username unrecognized / can’t reset password

Hey all —

I have two separate blogs that I can’t log on to for soem reason… Both blogs I am the administrator (user name “admin”) and am trying to log onto for the first time on a new computer…

yet when I try to login, the login page simply refreshes. No log in. If I try to have my passwords reset (as if login failed) I have the exact same action happen — the form/page simply refreshes and the action doesn’t take place. No error messages, no warings, no nothing.

Heck, I’ve gone into the DB to attempt to do anything I can to reset the password and that I have no idea about — so but I’ve already been able to verify both my user names and passwords on each blog.

What’s the deal? How can I get pas this and gain access to my blogs???
