Thanks to your wonderful plugins I noticed that some of my mails were not being sent so I clicked on the “Retry” button of these failed emails and it’s still not working.

I checked the Server Response in the email log of FluentSMTP plugin and all emails have the following error:

This error is happening everytime I try to resend an email.

I’m using 2 emails with a paid Elastic Email account. Everyting is alright on Elastic Email part (no quota exceeded I checked).

I tried to add an email fallback with my regular SMTP from my domain name and email provider but as it’s the same email used with Elastic Email, when I try to create the connection it says:

“Another connection with same email address exist. This connection will replace that connection”

I’ve run out of ideas… So please tell me how can I fix this issue?

PS: I’m also a customer using both Pro version of FluentCRM and FluentForms. Should I use another method to contact your support?

The following situation:
I use the Formidable plugin on this website (customer of mine). It also worked for a while. Now I have noticed that after creating a new form, the mails are not arriving.

I have installed your plugin and get the following error:

PHPMailer was able to connect to SMTP server but failed while trying to send an email.

I have already been to Formidable support with this. They think that the error indicates that Formidable is running correctly and the error only occurs afterwards and have recommended that I contact you.

I have already made a copy of the page and installed it locally on my computer. I have used a mailbox from my web host to ensure that the mail dispatch works.
(As a reminder, this is a customer website).
Here the mail dispatch worked with all settings and activated plugins as on the live server.

I noticed that there are differences in the server versions.
Is this perhaps the cause?

In the settings, I made sure that the sender of the mail in the URL matches the URL of the website.

After a lot of tests I found out that the problem is not the new hosting itself but the fact that I disabled the plugin WP Mail SMTP. In the old hosting it was “mandatory” to send the emails but in the new one the email are send even without it so it has been disabled to simplify things and remove a plugin.

I came to this conclusion after comparing the email sent from the old hosting with the emails sent with the new one, and the only thing that changed was the mailer: PHPMailer 6.8.1 instead of WPMailSMTP/Mailer/smtp 3.11.0

Am I doing something wrong? Do I need to add some specific headers to be able to send attachments without SMTP? Is this intended or it is a sort of bug?

I have a very annoying problem. I get the “There has been a critical error on this website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.” error message whenever I login to the website, but I can’t understand why since everything seem to work just fine both backend and frontend? Any clues why it does like this?

Is forminator using mail(), phpmailer, smtp or something else? Is it some configuration that the others are not doing? Im seeing if someone can quickly answer me before I start going through the headers and the code as it seems like something really simple but its not my area of expertise.

I don’t know what this error means, what is causing it, where it is coming from (a plugin or the current theme?), or how to fix it.

Hi, I’ve looked on the forum for similar issues and got a few pointers but thought I’d post my own issue.

Newly developed website set up with Divi Theme. All seems to be working so far apart from one main issue.

If a comment is submitted on a post the critical error screen is shown but the comment is still created and shows on the dashboard/website.

I’ve disabled all plugins with no change in the error. Tried a basic theme such as Twenty Twenty Three but cannot access the blog posts to recreate the problem.

My hosting providers iPage based in the USA. Running PHP 7.4 which is the latest available.

I’ve read about the PHPMailer extension and CTYPE? but this getting into areas I do not understand. I have an IT background but not in website building!

Any help greatly appreciated.

So far I’ve tried…

1. Installing composer in my public_html as per hostinger’s instructions

composer2 require phpmailer/phpmailer

phpmailer installs no problem, i still get the fatal error when i try to send a form

2. Installing composer in /public_html/rebelcitytour.com/wp-includes/

phpmailer installs fine, still get error.

3. creating a soft link to resolve the path issue…

cd /home/uxxxxxxxx/domains/rebelcitytour.com/public_html/wp-includes/
ln -s /home/uxxxxxx/domains/rebelcitytour.com/public_html/vendor/phpmailer/phpmailer

Composer has installed phpmailer at…
