I have uploaded screenshots of a game that has a retro pixel look. These screenshots look extremely blurry after uploading in WebP format (optimized by EWWW Image Optimizer). No longer nice and pixelated, but horrible.
How can I prevent this? I know that WebP doesn’t handle sharp edges well – but it can’t be the solution to disable WebP completely because of this. Can I disable WebP for individual images in EWWW and WordPress? Or make pixelated images stay pixelated? If so, how?

Thank you
]]>We have about 2,000 images that we would like to replace with higher resolution ones. Your plugin is replacing the image nicely with the new High-Resolution one for the product but it is not replacing the enlarged one. When clicked on the product image, it looks all pixelated. It is still using the old, low-resolution one and when it enlarges the low resolution bigger image looks pixelated.
How can I fix this?
It will also be great if it deletes the old, replaced ones.
Thanks,
Tony
I overcame this issue using css and rearranging the layout in the past. Hadn’t time to investigate till now.
The problem. Images are pixelated and mush because the wrong img resolution gets chosen even thought bigger resolution are available. The real estate the images takes up is 600x600px. In the hmtl codes one clearly sees, that 300×300 is taken to show the image. I can even change the file ending to 600×600 in development tools and its looks how it should. This is of course bad and looks like that. Woocommerce product grid is the problem here. How to force WP/Imagify to use the correct size?
Anyone know how to fix this?
]]>as metaslide includes those images with the
?resize=1156%2C520 or
?fit=1156%2C520
url parameter, the images get resized by wordpress resulting in ugly pixelations:
example:
https://i1.wp.com/canelodigital.cl/bsv/wp-content/uploads/2021/06/CrewDelanteFurgon.jpeg
https://i1.wp.com/canelodigital.cl/bsv/wp-content/uploads/2021/06/CrewDelanteFurgon.jpeg?resize=1024%2C300
as you also see, the wordpress site is using jetpack, but fact is that the resize url option messes up things as it pixelates a bigger image when making it smaller, which is just weird.
Unfortunately I need in this install Jetpack for building nicer galleries wih masonry layout… so I’m kind of clueless on how to prevent this aberration
I also tried other settings in metaslider (as imagecrop: standard or disabled), but without success
PS: I have deactivated jetpack for test reasons, and the problem persists, only the image URL’s change:
https://canelodigital.cl/bsv/wp-content/uploads/2021/06/CrewDelanteFurgon-1024×400.jpeg
https://canelodigital.cl/bsv/wp-content/uploads/2021/06/CrewDelanteFurgon.jpeg
it is this wordpress resizing which produces pixelation…
Thx

]]>Im having a bit of trouble making the slider images on my web look good. The slider has three slides. Photos 1 and 3 look pixelated when looking at it on desktop.
Photos on the slider have these sizes:
1.Spoons
2500x1667px
952KB
2.Skin
2500x1667px
378KB
3.Scissors
2500x1667px
526KG
Photos 1 and 3 are the ones that are pixelated.
Any ideas what I could do to make them look ok?
Thanks!

Could you please help me solve this? I upload the picture in the featured image field, I scale them to 300×300 as I use 150×150 round images (with border-radius:50%).
Thanks in advance.
