I would like to change the text “Post a comment”, which is visible in an h3-tag, on single pages/posts. I have searched through all my wordpress-files to try to locate where exactly this line of text is located, however have yet to find it.
I’ve checked comment-template.php, comment.php, wp-comments-post.php and any other files that are part of the theme I’m editing. Strangely, none of these include the h3-tag with the words “Post a comment”. Anyone know which file I should be looking in?
Thanks!
]]>I am a completely NEW WordPress user. I have chosen the Blaskan Theme as a starting point (I actually purchased the Premium Theme “Striker” off of Themeforest and am completely lost with that one).
I seem to have been able to get the basics up but I still have a “post comment” section visible on my ABOUT page. I have looked everywhere trying to remove this.
Can someone please help or point me in the right direction. Also if anyone has info on a great starting point for a step by step guide to all the functions I sure would appreciate the help.
]]>I have gone into “Settings” “General” from the Dashboard and entered the correct email address into the field entitled “E-mail address…This address is used for admin purposes, like new user notification.”
I have also gone into the “Discussion” section and checked “E-mail me whenever anyone posts a comment.”
However, I am not receiving any email notifications when I do these settings.
Incidentally, when I set it up so that I must approve/moderate the comment, the email notification does work, but I would rather not have to do the moderation.
Could somebody please help me figure out how I can receive the email notifications? Thank you.
]]>What is the best ‘post a comment’ plugin or extention?
I’ve seen on a few sites that they have a ‘post a comment’ section directly under their posts with fields such as ‘name, email address, website, comment.’
It looks very convenient.
Mine are completely hidden and it takes you to some registration page which I find highly inconvenient for people. It will make readers less likely to leave a comment as they need to jump from page to page in order to register or login.
Currently, you will see this:

“You must be logged in to post a comment.”
I’d like to replace it with something similar to this (scroll to the bottom):

I’d prefer to avoid comment spam altogether. Is there a ‘post a comment’ type of system which includes a non-annoying CAPTCHA?
