Simple problem. I have a front end post form to create a vanilla WordPress post. I insert a picture. I save, it shows correctly. I edit the post using the front end, the pictures are not there. Checking the picture, the link has been quoted.
So this is my correctly formatted post created using the form first time through – all good:
This is what I see if I then select the post through the WP User Front end and edit it:
And clicking on the broken photo placeholders:
So simply reopening the post breaks the formatting.
If I go into the backend editor I see this:
So it seems that the Rich Text Editor is incompatible with WordPress 6.6.1
Having Googled I’ve tried blocking the editor processing with:
// Add a hook.
add_filter( 'run_wptexturize', '__return_false', 10 );
using WPCode to insert but that does not seem to help.
What to do?
WordPress 6.6.1
Theme Fork Version: 1.0.8
WP User Frontend Version 4.0.11
However, this happens on Pixelite Events Manager too, it is a problem with the editor.
]]>I’ve installed Social Warfare recently and it’s been working good so far. Nonetheless today some weird text: “Tweet Share1 Share3 +11 Pin1Shares 6” appeared as a post description on the latest 2 posts. It goes away once I deactivate the plugin, and comes back as soon as I activate it back. Anyway I can get rid if that text?
You can see it on www.fortheloveofbranding.com.
Thanks in advance,
Oriol
]]>I’m trying to limit the excerpt length of the “Pinboard” on the bototm half of the target page (listed below). In the case of the website, each Project displayed is classed as “pin-board-pin-text” and “entry-content”, and is pulling any posts categorized as either “current projects” or “past projects”.
Is there a way to truncate the descriptions on these without just attacking the other excerpt lengths?
I’m a php newby but am reading hard and trying to come up with solutions… or at least get my head around the vocab! Any help would be very welcome, I’m doing this site for free for a charity and would love to give them a good end-product

EDIT: Don’t mind if limiting by # of words or by # of characters, but if there is a fix for both, words would be preferable.
]]>When the postings are viewed in a list based on category, they feature a short description (usually the opening paragraph from each post) underneath each title along with a thumbnail if that was set to be the featured image. Now that I’ve added this plugin it seems that each post’s description starts with the text from the prefix markup of your plugin that is being pulled and inserted. One workaround would be to place the share icons at the end of the article but I thought I’d find out what your suggestion is first. It just looks a bit random to me if you’re a new visitor to the site and see the phrase, “connect:” preceding each brief story intro. so that’s why I thought I’d ask.

]]>I’ve set the social media metadata to be used for the sharing of individual posts in the WordPress Seo (Yoast) plugin settings for a post.
When I try and share using the Facebook share button for this post, for example, it successfully collects and populates the post-specific info into the Facebook share window (Title: “Order of adjectives” Description: “This post describes the required order of adjectives when using different classes of adjectives to modify nouns. Practical examples are given.”).
When I try to share with Google+ it finds the post image, title and link, but omits the post description, and when I try to share on Twitter it uses the default site description from Ultimate Social Media Icons PLUS >> 2. What do you want the icons to do? >> Twitter Tweet about my page (info inserted here), and not the description inserted into the WordPress SEO Twitter description for this post: “A post describing the required order of different classes of adjectives to modify nouns https://bit.ly/1QVbtIN #orderofadjectives”.
I understand that this involves another plugin, and two social media sites, but as the WordPress SEO is pretty popular, I was wondering if anyone has come across this before. Or, maybe I am missing something simple here…

You can see on my homepage www.nathanjaffanphotography.com the way the the Instagram images appear… my question is how can I show the post description next to each image? Preferably the text would be in italics. Thanks!!

]]>For example I have a page on my website that is called Categories, and it lists the most recent posts, with description. Here is the link: https://www.creativesolvibrations.com/categories/ For the first post in Spiritual Philosophy, you can see that there is unnecessary information:
Photo credit ?Dream Designs via FreeDigitalPhotos.net…
Also, if you scroll down to the last category entitled: Personal Development, you will see two posts with shortcodes.
The extra information added is obviously information from within the posts, but I would like to hide that information. Is it possible?
