Upgraded to WP4.6 – Scheduled Posts Are Disappearing

Hello everyone,

I just updated the WordPress to 4.6 (and updated all the plugins as well) and now having a problem that my newly scheduled post keep disappearing.

Plugin lists:
Akismet (ON)
Facebook (OFF)
Hello Dolly (OFF)
Instagram Feed (ON)
Jetpack by WordPress (OFF)
Page Builder by SiteOrigin (ON)
SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle (ON)
Social Count Plus (ON)
Social Jet (ON)
SumoMe (ON)
UpdraftPlus – Backup/Restore (ON)
WP Smush (ON)
WP Super Cache (ON)
Yoast SEO (ON)

Another problem is that everytime I want to preview post, it shows this Are you sure you want to do this? page. And if click Please try again, it goes back to the edit post page.

Also another problem, I cannot deactivate my plugins.

I’m not a techy guy so I hope I can follow any instructions given here.

So, anyone experiencing the same? Or anyone has a solution to it? Let me know!

Posts content disappears

I installed plug-in and everything was working fine, until, I enabled email subscription, the header for the post appears but content and sidebar does not show. I have disabled plugin for now but would like to see it working as I have installed and un-installed quite a few social plug-ins and this one is the best so far. Except for content disappearing.

posts are disappearing from blog list

Hi , i have just installed a fresh wordpress, and just for the testing purpose i am using paid memberships pro plugin and using twenty fifteen theme.
My stepts are involved as below:
1.installed plugin
2.set up pages using automatic pages creation feature
3.created a category for members only and a post in it
4.addeed some excerpt and checked required membership meta
5.created a membership level and checked that member only category
6.just clicked saved in payment gateway & ssl tab, didn’t change anything(i know i need to set up later)
7.set up email tab
8.checked show excerpt to nonmembers in advanced tab.

Two problems i am facing,
1. not this plugin related, but when i set excerpt for the post, it is still showing the full content in the posts listing page( i am using a static page for front end and created a blank page for blog posts)
2.after i installed the plugin and gone through all the above mentioned steps i see that restricted post is gone from the blog page. But if i manually put the slug of the post on the url then i see desired excerpt with the login and registration buttons.
Can anyone help me out on that?

Changing www.ads-software.com username causing trouble

Hi,

I just changed my profile name and then posted to the forum and now my post seems to live in some sort of secret space.
This is my post
I can open the post when I am logged in, but the link forwards me to the forum landing page when not logged in. Also, when I try to add a tag to the post I get the message “topic not found” and when I try to reply the message “topic closed”.
Seems the system had a hiccup when I changed my name…

Is this even the right place to ask? Wondering what will happen to this post…

When I disconnect they reappear.

I’d love to use the jetpack features, but I kind of need my blog posts to be able to be seen.

Any ideas?

Post disappearing during update

I have some ghost posting that disappears as soon as I add tags and change the author. It has happened twice. I recently updated to Version 3.4.1. Could this be the reason? I am using the theme “Techozoic 2.0.8”. I have also had my home page brief disappear. Would really appreciate your help.

Posts Disappear After Too Many Comments

I’ve noticed a pattern that whenever a post on my blog receives 80 comments, it disappears. The post link just takes you to a blank screen. The post is still visible and editable in my dashboard, and is visible in the feed, but no one can access it as a single post or comment.

Any way to fix this? Am I missing a setting somewhere?

Hi all,

I posted previously under another topic ‘Why I am suddenly being flooded with spam?’ about a sudden influx of spam that I’ve been getting.

esmi kindly suggested since my problems were post-specific, the spam might be due to google rankings and added attention on the www.

In my spam post, I made comment that my computer was infected with a virus yesterday and I’m running in safe mode until my o/s gets fixed.

Now, I’m noticing that posts are disappearing from my homepage. The teasers of my oldest posts, which should be at the bottom of the page are moving upward as the teasers of my newer posts are disappearing from the homepage.

Please help! Is this virus/hack/security related do you think, or as esmi suggested, perhaps a coincidence?

Suggestions welcome!

Edits to post randomly make parts of post disappear

I am dealing with a very frustrating issue…

I am creating a site in WordPress as I have done many times before. However, for some reason, this site is very “buggy.”

My site only needs one post (for the homepage — it’s a sales page). However, seemingly at random, when I make some edits (it could be adding some content, simply deleting a sentence, trying to add a photo, etc) … when I resave the post, it deletes major sections of my post.

I may have 10 paragraphs and then I make a tiny edit and when I resave, I only have like 3 paragraphs.

It’s very frustrating… then I have to go back and restore an earlier version of the post and start over.

I’ve tried to troubleshoot this, but I can’t seem to find any consistent reason why it’s doing this. I don’t have any crazy plugins that would disrupt it. And it seems to happen with any theme I apply (even the default one).

Any ideas?
