Hello, this is a “pre-install question”. I’m using bbPress and Boss theme to build a forum. I’d like to display the forum’s topics as using bbPress shortcode but with ratings for each topics. Is this possible using WP-PostRatings?

Search for Products in Order Creation?

Hello, this is a “pre-install” question. I want to speed up the search bar not only in the Orders section, but also in order creation (Edit/Add Order) where there’s search bars for assigning Customers and adding Products. My client’s website suffers from prolonged search time and crashes, especially the Products.

Can you use this to speed up search in order creation? I’ve been looking forever for a solution but haven’t really come across an “Add Product Search” plugin. Thank you!

Search Through WooCommerce?

Hello, this is a “pre-install” question. I’m looking to speed up the search bar inside of WooCommerce for searching Orders (WooCommerce > Orders), as well as adding Customers and Products in order creation (WooCommerce > Edit Order).

Can this plugin be used for this? Can I use it for order creation?

not able to install wordpress

i have tried to install wordpress on server using ftp client after copying the files it shows following message.

Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Then i copied the whole wordpress folder using ftp then again same error is there when ever i login to https://www.gangaspintex.com/wordpress/Index.php/wp-admin/setup-config.php

Pre-Install Questions: Category Structure and Video

Loving what I have read about your plugin and would love to try it. A couple of quick questions.

We currently remove ‘category’ from the url (instead of www.example.com/category/category-name we use www.example.com/categoryname/url.

For search engines, the title of the post is Post-Title – Category.

1) Is it possible to keep that structure in this plugin?

2) Does that sitemap have video functionality and/or include images in the submission?

Install Basic pre-Pro and Ease to Remove

I use WP 4.1 with the twenty ten theme. Thinking of installing BPS – would like to test the basic model first and then if no conflicts – upgrade to pro. My hesitation is that I once installed one of the other company security plugins (that then was just recently bought out), and its transition went sideways badly. So I am a bit reticent.

I realize no guarantees – and so I’ve read the instructions on install and uninstall – as well as have trialed this on a very basic site which had a minor issue that you helped me solve right away – very impressive – as is your support close rate. If this doesn’t work with my site (ie plugin conflicts) – is it as easy as it seems to remove? And is the basic first and pro later the approach to take?

(Site is a a multi-user site with just me as admin and all others as agents / editors / contributors posting property content. So it has a role or user switching plugin in place – allowing me to post as clients). The HT access code currently deployed has rewrite referer code in place and options -index plus super cache. Most of the other plugins are very standard).

do you suggest to install and use iThemes before or after uploading other plugins and themes?

I will onl yrename wp-content and login url

The Problem:

do I need to install and perform mentioned changes before or after installing other plugins (actually only WPML) and custom theme?

And what happens once those plugins / theme needs update?
do I need to deactivate iThemes for making updates to my other plugins or theme?

500 internal error before installation

problem: can’t even access the WordPress quick installation.

I usually install WP on a host that I’m familiar with. This is a client’s ‘old host’ where he has his current site hosted. It has now been upgraded to support databases for his new WP site.

Since 500 errors are ambiguous at best, I’ll try to narrow it down:

1. I created a database, but WP is not communicating with it yet
2. I copied a clean WordPress to the FTP folder
3. Before I can even connect the database, I get an internal error.
4. No .htaccess files active

I tried connecting the DB manually in a wp-config.php, to no avail.

The old site is running fine. phpinfo.php works too, tells me it’s PHP 5.2.14 Windows NT. My only guess is a bad intent on Windows’ side to play nice with WP. Not sure though since PHP seems to be working and WP should theoretically work as well.

Running out of ideas. I’ve already messaged the host but I’d rather solve it myself in the meantime.
