This will output, on the page/post, a link to the WP User’s Connections Entry detail/profile page.

The link itself will be in the following format:

https://example.com/directory-page/name/entry-slug

I used this format and it worked without any issues until recently.

We now have two directory pages — one directory page shows all of our categories, except one category; and the other directory page only shows the excepted category from the first page. It works well, except the URL (link) no longer works.

I’ve tried to create two separate URLs for each directory page for our users to link from and it doesn’t work either. Here’s what I tried: https://example.com/directory-page/cat/name/entry-slug This link will take me only as far as the directory / category page (without showing the user the actual member’s profile.

How can I fix this?

Change IP of permanent links without accessing the WP

I have a site in development which I accessed via IP, since the domain had not yet been delegated.
Due to updating issues, my hosting changes my IP, and now I want to access my WP with the new IP, it does not respond (the website cannot be displayed). It does not respond to the front, nor to the wp-admin
I have access to the CPanel, the file manager and the mysql admin
How can I change the ip of the permanent links, accessing from the files or the DB?

Permalink error 404 with number as product name

Hello,

If product name includes only numbers it generates a 404.

If I add literal characters into the slug – the link is working correctly, but I can’t do that for thousands of products. Is there a quick solution?

hi,

I just installed linker but i think i did something wrong.
I changed this link https://goo.gl/WfYFDK into beecore campaign but the premalink i get is this https://www.dutch-rc.nl/?post_type=linker&p=199 instead of what it shows on the edit link screen

Editing the Permalink page

I have a quick question. I created a custom template which came out great, but now I’d like users to click on a staff member’s face and to go into a more details type of page. I noticed that when you add a staff member it creates a page for that staff member. You can see it when you click the permalink. It shows their profile pic and their bio, but I want to add in all their other info and reformat the page slightly. I think I could just add in the short code, but I’d like it to automatically do this for every staff member. Is there a template that this plugin is using? Is it the default page template? Is there anyway to create a customized version and how can I change the template this plugin is using? Thanks for your help! Joe

permalink home page error

Hello,

I originally created my web site using the default permalink setting (random page numbers) and am attempting to change this to the postname option. After making this change all of may pages look and work great, except for my home page which defaults to www.xyz.com/wp Since I have no WP named page I’m receiving Ooops, page not found. How can I code around this so that I can continue to use the postname option for permalinks?

I did set my premalink settings and it looks good while browsing in the website.But the problem is when I want to copy a page URL and paste it somewhere like Facebook,it looks weird and unfamiliar.
Basically its looks like this:

Premalink and Page Parent Structure issue

Currently i have my premalinks set at page name, which is good for seo. Once i started to setup a structured hierarchy between the pages the premalinks changed to www.yoursite.com/home/products and not wwww.yoursite.com/products (this will happen if a page doesn’t have any parent pages ahead of it).

I know you can customize your premalinks, what would be the correct code or action you should take to make the necessary changes to have your main category page/post premalinks only show the title, and not the entire hierarchy?

Annoying Permalink Bug after network updates in multisite environment

Hi,

since ages (or better versions) now this has never been resolved. Anytime I do an update to the network of my multisite installation, I do get 404 errors on any blog when clicking on a title of an article. The only thing to get rid of these errors is to go to each blog and to the dashboard choosing the permalink setting and hit save.

Why isn’t this fixed? Is it a permalink, database update error or a caching problem?

Please fix it which would save me a lot of time…
