Wordfence alert for nested WP blog – file press-this.php

One of my WP sites has a nested domain which is also hosting a WP blog. Basically, domain ABC is the main hosted domain and domain XYZ is another domain that is hosted as an add-on to ABC. It translates into XYZ being a subfolder of ABC html root. Both ABC and XYZ have WordPress blogs and ABC has an active installation of WordFence.
This morning I received critical alert about press-this.php file (in XYZ/blog/wp-admin folder) being a malware. After checking I noticed that the file is unaltered and it is part of WP 4.1.1 install, the same file is in ABC/blog/wp-admin and many other WP sites). The reason for alert is that WordFence didn’t recognize that there is another WP installation in nested folder and considered this file as malware (due to eval and urldecode statements). I don’t suggest this a bug report (it is probably a bad idea to complicate plugin logic by addressing corner case like this), but I am posting it here so that other don’t get freaked out when get this alert and don’t waste their time searching for solution.

Here is the message from WF scanner (I tested and you get this message for any nested WP installation):

All I get is this error message when I use the Press this link
“You don’t have permission to access /news/wp-admin/press-this.php on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.”

If I change direct to the above url as a bookmark, then it just opens up the blank page ready for a post. Is that all the App does? Surely not?

There are several users who have posted the same error message in the forums and aparantly the developers cant resolve the problem BECAUSE THOSE QUESTIONS ARE ALL CLOSED OFF AND STILL UNRESOLVED.

How do I remove a "remove_action" in wordpress?

So I am trying to write a simple plugin that will remove line 614 in the wp-admin/press-this.php file.

this is what I am trying to remove:

remove_action( ‘media_buttons’, ‘media_buttons’ );

So to sum it up, I am trying to figure out how to execute a remove_action of a remove_action.

The reason I want to do this is to get the “Add Media” button to appear in the Press This popup.

Press This Bookmarklet causes 500 Internal Server Error

I am using the newest version of WP (self-hosted) and I just added the “Press This” Bookmarklet to my Google Chrome 4.0.249.64 beta and Mozilla Firefox 3.5.7 browsers and both encounter the following error when surfing random websites and pressing the “Press This” bookmarklet:

Forbidden

You don’t have permission to access /blog/wp-admin/press-this.php on this server.

Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Any suggestions?

Hi all, i am using the press-this bookmarklet which launches press-this.php i search with no luck on how to add a button to the editor on that page, specifically the insert more tag any ideas how to achieve this? thanks
