Image share buttons – share specific image with page link

Hello,

I see that your plugin offers additional JavaScript to add share buttons on image hover, but is there a way to use the particular image you’ve hit the share button on as the featured image that shows when you share on social? I’m using an Elementor Gallery and if I use your plugin with the image share buttons script, it gives the share buttons on my gallery images, but the image that goes to Facebook is always the same – the featured image of the page. I don’t want to share the image link itself (unless it’s possible that this can trigger the image in lightbox on the page?)

Changed image sizes in the preview

For no apparent reason, image sizes in the preview and in the post are now displayed in reversed size in the blog view. Previously, a portrait-format image was shown in full size in the preview and in landscape format in the post. now it is the other way round. The preview in the blog view shows a reduced landscape format, the post page now shows the full image size. This cannot be changed by deleting and resetting the images. No other setting options were found. How can this size difference be adjusted again?

Hello, I’m a designer and web developer an long time user of Yoast. I’ve recently encountered an issue using Meta Sharing Debugger that it is not able to process my OG preview image on my Home Page, mineralconference.com, I keep getting the error, og:image URL could not be processed as an image. It may be corrupted or may have an invalid format. Searching the internet, this seems to be a new problem or bug facing meta with no way to update. I’ve never had an issue with the preview images before and not sure what the issue is.

I’ve spent numerous hours searching online forums and the Yoast support forum with no luck. I’ve also tried every possible solution to see if I could solve this issue on my own. Using PNGs, JPGs, limiting characters in case of latin characters, etc. I’ve tried all scenarios of just using the Settings > Basic image or putting on the Facebook Social image on the Home Page and Twitter Social Image and trying it as just Featured Image.

If you use the Sharing Debugger Tool on my url it’s correctly pulling the image, https://mineralconference.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/fb.jpg and the image loads fine in browser but keeps getting the invalid or corrupt error format. The other information is updating fine. I’ve even tried hitting the scrape button numerous time over several weeks with no luck.

Can you help me figure out what is causing this issue and how to get this preview image to display? Thank you.

First of all thank you for this brilliant Plugin.
While trying to upload a preview Image in the template gallery i get the following JS error in the console:

Hi Milan,

The plugin works for me (it found hotlinked images form archive.org on my site), but unfortunately, it does not find & replace Vimeo preview images, that are linked inline as background images:

style="background-image: url("https://i.vimeocdn.com/video/1234..."

Is there a way to get hold of them, too, or is there another plugin that could do that?

When I create a link to any individual gallery, the image at the top left of this page is used as a preview image on Facebook. I deleted the image from the gallery, but it won’t go away! I would like the preview image to represent an individual gallery, not the same picture each time.

Is there a way to set the preview image? A way to get rid of this one that keeps showing up? What am I missing

Hi, on my website I would like to change the preview image for the static homepage when shared on WhatsApp, Facebook etc.

I would like to use the logo as preview image. The other pages of the website do this automatically as there are no other pictures present on the page but the homepage has a picture and that one gets automatically used as preview image.

I know how to choose the preview image from various images on a page but I don’t know how to set the logo as preview image.

I got only the free version of Yoast SEO.

Any help would be appreciated, thank you.
