Private courses that you can enroll only manually

I’m writing a plugin that will allow students to enroll in a course using a license key that we give them. It’s almost done and works pretty well so far.

Here is a use case that we’d like to implement.

The Course should not be visible on any listing. Even if you know the course URL, you should not be able to load it. With the plugin and by entering the license key that the students were given, they should be able to enroll in the Course and see it under their profile.

It looks like if the Course is marked as “Private”, it should do the job, but no, it does not work because the private courses do not show under your profile page after you enroll.

Can you suggest a workaround or solution to see private courses that you are enrolled in, under your Profile page and work on them?

This is a use case that is very applicable for environments where you have a large number of small courses and you don’t want all students to see all courses. For example, a school or college.

The page appears archived, that’s what it says there. Sometimes “private, old” appears
How do I display the page publicly?

All posts visibility set to private

Hi,

I’ve noticed that when this plugin is activated, within each page/post, the visibility of all posts is set to “Private”, and then underneath it says its status is “Published publicly” (or “Archived” depending on what you choose…). See: https://imgur.com/a/8sMZYBU

I tried switching the Visibility from “Private” to “Public” but it reverts back to “Private”. If I deactivate the plugin, this issue is gone.

Now, the posts are not really “private”, I do see the posts when logged out, but it’s a bit confusing. Also, since the post visibility seems to be set to Private, the SEO framework plugin thinks the posts are private and puts its default index setting to “Default (noindex)”. Again, they’re not really not indexed, but this is confusing and is based on the “Private” setting that seems to come from this plugin.

Is there a way to keep the default posts visibility to “Public” instead of “Private” while this plugin is activated?

Private cache only works on immediate reload

I am trying to enable private cache for logged in users.

Whenever I try to access any page as a logged in user, I am getting a X-Litespeed-Cache: miss and the page loads in real time (even though it was previously cached by the same user).

However, if I access a page and then immediately (within 1-2 seconds) request the same URL again, the correct cached version of the page loads and I am getting X-Litespeed-Cache: hit:private . Private cache TTL is set to default value of 1800.

My report number is: XQSCKLOA

(I wouldn’t like to share the URL publicly as it is a temporary testing environment, but I believe it is included in the report)

What could be causing this? Thank you.

What is private and public ID/API?

I am new to Presto Player. Could you please explain what does private and public id/api mean? In bunny net integration settings I see stream library id, stream library api and other field that are seperated by public and private.

I cannot open any of the downloaded files

Hello,

When I am in the customer panel and download the assigned files, each of them is damaged. It doesn’t matter whether it is a .pdf, .txt or other type of file. When I try to open it, I receive a notification that the program could not open the file because the format is not supported or the file was damaged. Tested on various computers and online viewers.

Any solutions?

Is it possible to upload course videos as private on YouTube and show them only to people that are registered in the course?

As you know, private videos are not publicly viewable unless the viewer is permitted by the owner.

Hello,

I have 1000s of pdf files, and 100s of customers

I need to assign files to each customer, so for example:

file A, B, C for Jack

file D, E, F for Mark

File 123, 456, 789 for suzi and so on

They have to login to their page and they can search for the file they need and downlowad

Please help me with this, thank you
