On the shop homepage, the product feature image is overlapping one of the gallery images. Is this how it should be? The problem is both images are being shown.
The product featured image has a transparent background and I guess if it was white then that image behind it would not be seen.
When hovering over it, the featured image goes away and the first gallery image is shown. (normal functionality)
Im thinking the best solution would be to set the containing element of the product featured image to have a background-color as white.
Would this be the best fix? Or is this a deeper bug in the theme?
Many thanks
The problem:
Variable Product: Chair 1
I go in WooCommerce to ‘Variations’
There are 80 variations of this 1 product
In Google Merchant Center/Google Ads, the image of this whole variable product is set to one of the variant images called RENO.
So Google Merchant Center/Google Ads picked the variation image: RENO (the image of the RENO fabric itself).
Google Merchant Center/Google Ad does not pic the main ‘Product image’ set in WooCommerce:
Product image
So where can I set this, so Google Merchant Center/Google Ads picks the ‘Product image’?
In WooCommerce, I have made a feed with your plugin and enabled:
‘Exclude variations for variable products’ and ‘Show main variable product’.
I do want variable products in the feed, but not all the variations themself and no variation images. Only product images and the product gallery images.
I’m wondering if someone can help me. On a new store, whenever a user clicks into a product and is directed to that product’s page, two things happen that shouldn’t:
1. the featured image shows up but is a distorted zoom until the user hovers over the image.
2. the gallery images are highlighted but don’t display at all in the window.
I’ve tried isolating with CSS selectors but I can’t seem to figure out what’s happening to make it break.
Any help would be amazing! Thank you in advance.
]]>Testing this plugin and I can see the potential, however, I don’t seem to be able to get the product gallery images to show.
I have got the feature image to work, which is great. However, the product images don’t work. I have linked 2 images from my google photos and 1 from elsewhere, for testing. All 3 show in the products gallery by URL window within the product page but when I preview or publish, the only image that shows is the featured image but the product images do not show. However, the featured image appears where the product images should, just that on its own, the product images don’t show.
Can anyone help, please?
]]>I have a problem with the Woocommerce Product gallery images. They are not showing at all on the product page even though they are set on the admin side on the “Product gallery” section. The main image is showing though but not the gallery images. The link shows an example of a product.
I have updated every plugin (also Woocommerce to version 3.6.1) and theme so that has been dealt with.
]]>Also all of the product gallery images are now aligned vertically under the main image. This has happened after updates before, and I had a fix for this in my custom CSS, but it doesn’t seem to work now for some reason. I’m guessing these two things are related but not sure?
I’m using a Canvas child theme, which I know is outdated and no longer supported, and I’m in the process of redesigning my site. But I need a fix for these in the meantime. Suggestions?
]]>In the gallery thumbnails, if you click one (or select the relevant variation from the dropdown for variable products) the thumbnail image is highlighted but the main picture is still blank. The size does appear to change though if the gallery picture is longer than the featured image. So it’s there, but not showing.
I’ve tried a few things, changing opacity and margins, but nothing is working. I’ve done the inspect element but can’t see anything obvious (I’m not an expert so maybe missing something there.
Someone help please!
TIA
