The idea is that we will give this app for free to guests who take any of our tours here we are located, or people visiting may purchase the app. This is where I need help.
When people install the app from a supplied QR code, those with access for free should be able to login via login details we supply them (just their email address and a supplied password), but those without will need to purchase via Stripe. I already have a Stripe account, but do not have the Pro version as was hoping the checkout would be hosted by Stripe, rather than on the app. The app shows no address bar at all, but I am concerned that the stripe link, once opened, will show as a webpage.
I have already created 2 membership levels, 1 foir the free user and 1 for those who will need to purchase.
So a few questions arise, as I have never tried to restrict content before, so here goes:
Firstly, how do I configure getting a login to appear once the app is installed? If this is not RCP-related, simply ignore.
Once those who have free access login, they will immediately see the homepage, but how to configure it so the people who purchase the app only get access once they have paid?
Do I need to restrict every single page? I ask as there are only 2 pages which are able to be accessed normally…the homepage and the search page. All the other pages only show after a search is performed. The rest of the pages are generated using ACF pro using dynamic content.
Any help gladly accepted, as have never done this before and struggling now the main content is created.
I hope this makes sense, but if anything needs clarification, let me know.

]]>I can detect whether site is being displayed on iOS, Android and more.
That means, I can provide specific help on how to install the website on a phone or tablet as a Progressive Web App or PWA. The procedure is slightly different on iPhones and Android phones.
Do you think it would be possible to detect, whether the site is already installed and running as a PWA? Hiding the instructions on how to install, once it’s already installed?
That would clean up the landing page even further.

OneSignalSDKWorker.js.php is in my root directory.
Any thoughts?
]]>I’ve been trying to get the super progressive web app to work on my android and had a strange incident:
Initially the app worked and I was able to install it via chrome.
I decided I wanted to make changes to the app and so de-installed it, emptied my cache and history and now the download option has disappeared in chrome.
I tried to add it to my home screen instead but this only created a short cut to the website.
The app was also tested on IOS, however I heard it doesn’t work with chrome.
Could you please advise what I need to change to make this work?
Many thanks,
Mira
I want to know more about PWA(Progressive Web App) How is it possible to add this feature to the WordPress website with the help of a plugin.
Is there another way to add this feature manually in WordPress?
For example, I have an educational website where I am providing UGC NET Jrf Exam, NABARD Grade-A Exam related Blogs and the latest information. How is it possible to add such a push notification?
]]>Thanks for your awesome plugin. I’m having this issue on my site and wondering if you can help me resolve it.
TypeError: Failed to update a ServiceWorker for scope ('https://www.wellspringofgrowth.com/') with script ('https://www.wellspringofgrowth.com/superpwa-sw.js'): An unknown error occurred when fetching the script.
This error repeatedly keeps getting flagged by Lighthouse and the Chrome DevTools console. Please help!
Note: I’ve noticed that this error does not occur consistently, however, it always comes back eventually after this error is not logged.
To recreate:
1. Add Chrome plugin (Lighthouse: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/lighthouse/blipmdconlkpinefehnmjammfjpmpbjk)
2. Visit https://www.wellspringofgrowth.com/
3. Click Lighthouse extension icon at top-right of Chrome browser –> click Generate Report
4. Scroll down to Best Practices section > General > Browser errors were logged to the console
Thanks so much for your time and help.
Cheers,

The site is a single page, and it is password protected using WPs default page pass protection.
The website still worked fine in the browser, so it seems to be something to do with the saving to homescreen and the standalone mode perhaps.
I have disabled and uninstalled the plugin for now. However, the settings and manifest still exist and therefore the problem still exists. Help!
How can I delete service worker and manifest to stop this problem from happening?
this problem disappeared, guess it took a bit for the manifest and SW to get removed.
Still, the problem with not loading past the password page persists.
EDIT: The problem seems to be fixed (sort of) by changing the Caching Strategy for each option to “Network First” or “Network Only”. However, this means slower load times. “Stale While Revalidate” and “Cache first” do not work and create this problem of not being able to get past the password screen.
]]>The link to add to my homepage seems to work OK on any android phone if I use Chrome but I nearly missed the link at the bottom of the page.
If I try to use it with Firefox the link only shows up on the address bar as what looks like a house with a star in it, when I clicked on it, I now get the link on my phones home page, but when I clink on it I get a black screen with a dot in the middle and an address to an icon on my phone belonging to a different app ( I know it does not make sense to me either) if I close that screen the PWA id behind that.
It does not work at all on my Ipad, I don’t have an iphone to try it.
I really like the idea of what this plugin should do, but I would prefer the ability to have a page on my site where I can explain to users what a PWA is and a button link to install it (I assume it should work on ios devices).
I have seen the post “How to add progressive web app to website with a conditional install button” by Dr. D which looks interesting, but I don’t know where each bit of the text should go, should it be in functions.php in my child theme ? I would have hoped that if Nico thinks it is “hacky” he would have provided a better full solution.
Could we have some better examples please
