Using the slider on an HTML page

I know this is a plug-in and I use it extensively on my site; however, I am trying to create an opening sequence of slides as an intro to my site. I have used Inspector to view the coding and almost got it except for the transitions. If there is any other way to do this please let me know.

I only want a background and the slides will have a transparent background with text to fade in with the last slide linking to the actual site.

I spent hours creating a family album with captioned photos only to discover a massive list of errors that I somehow didn’t have permission to use all my photos. I had no other choice but to delete the slider and start all over again.

After adding all the images and adding all the captions all over again I discovered that the last photo was a duplicate so I deleted it, only to discover that all my added captions were also gone.

I thought this plug-in was going to be the answer to my prayers, but it’s turning into a nightmare.

Modify CSS?

It looks like this plug-in will solve what I have been looking for forever. I want to create Facebook look galleries. Two questions –

I see site-content in the template file but I can’t find this in the stylesheet. The images are only showing two wide and I want to have them six or more wide. Where do I adjust this? Changing the settings to 6 in the row didn’t work.

Second, it is critical that I can have albums showing in the custom sidebars, but it appears from previous posts that the shortcodes don’t work in the sidebars. Is this true?

"Read More" not working properly

This plug-in solved a major issue I was having with using Content Aware Sidebars on my site because they only work on “pages”. When I saw the posts on my page I was thrilled to finally have found a solution. I can’t seem to find the CSS for the giant post title, but I know I will.

My problem is that the “Read More” button just loops back to the page ID and not to the balance of the post. I’ve tried everything. I changed the_content to the_excerpt but there is then no way to show the full post.

I really want to use this plug-in so I hope there is a solution.

Clicking on standard “Read More” button calls up post with plug-in Continue Reading link, but this pulls up another excerpt with opposite results. More returns less and vice versa.
