Hi.

I have managed to set this up but I keep getting an error when I ‘submit’ saying ‘Please provide a valid email address.’ I am inputting a valid email and have tried 4/5 email addresses but none of them work.

Can you offer any advise?

Protecting my info by putting website behind password

I’ve been blogging using WordPress since last May and I really like it. But I’d like to shield everything I post from certain people. I prefer not to do so, by selecting “private post” or “password protected post.” I’d like visitors to be able to log in/onto my website. So at first, there’ll be something like a black screen or whatever, only showing a space in which they should fill in the password I provided them with. Only if they enter the right password, they should be able to see my website’s content.

Does anybody get my point/question?
And if so: please tell me how to make this happen!

ERROR: you must provide an e-mail address when configuring

When I have configured the wp-config.php file and then moved the wordpress directory structure to my web server and then run the wp-admin/install.php I get the error ERROR: you must provide an e-mail address after I type my blog title and email address.

I successfully installed (and completely removed) the rc2 of the 2.5 edition. I removed the WordPress web directory AND the database and then recreated the database for 2.3.3
