I have found my Rackspace account increasing month on month, when most of the activity should be fairly constant (UpdraftPlus set to keep limited numbers of backups). I have checked all the settings, and UpdraftPlus is still sending backups to RackSpace.
Investgation shows, however, that there are thousands of files in RackSpace which should have been deleted.
I’ve taken one test site to check this. It had backup sets with dates in 2019, 2018, and 2017. Rackspace has files into 2016.
I cleared down all backup sets for 2017 (yesterday), Checked RackSpace, and there are still thousands of files for 2017.
Is there a problem with the RackSpace code in UpdraftPlus?
Is there something RackSpace have changed which prevents the files being deleted by UpdraftPlus?
Would appreciate some help.
My checks suggest I can cut the RackSpace fees by about 65% … then I can afford the UpdraftPlus licence (if it’s working properly).
Many thanks, David
]]>I want to say thank you for your work. This plugin rocks!
I am using Cloudways as my hosting provider and my e-mail has been configured via their Rackspace Addon.
https://support.cloudways.com/how-to-use-rackspace-addon/
I wanted to askm you, how and where should I configure it, so it will send test and live e-mails.
I cannot do this at this moment with my current settings.
Thank you!
Best,
Micha?

here is the log:

Rackspace support insist they does not block port 465.
I am able to send email on port 2525 ( unsecure connection ).
Any idea what is going on here?
Thanks,

Looks like its trying to reference the class by reference inside the array and PHP doesn’t like it.

This error aside I have had issues with Mailgun in general.
They upgraded the API recently as it apparently was throwing an error, “we use it to gather analytics (customers like there to be a nice interface on their dashboard)”. But composer won’t update it using CentOS. I have found a fix but it requires me to change my Yum repository and rebuild PHP…”nope” not worth the risk. We have too many other websites running. So I guess there’s no backward compatibility. The irony being that another developer on the is forums said that there was so no forward compatibility for the WP plugin to PHP 7.
No phone support
We pay for the service as we have a volume that exceeds the free quota and yet even if we contact through Rackspace they say “no phone support for non-paying customers”…????

I tried adding a support ticket and the ticket service through an error.
I finally got through to them by emailing “HELP” to sales support. Then what did the support team concentrate on…”Fixing the support ticket system”. They completely ignored the issue I originally was trying to post for.
We are currently migrating to another SMTP…
